I am partial to Blobs and have recently acquired three whom I love, but I'm having a hard time coming up with characters to suit them. If anyone likes creating characters, I'd love to hear your ideas!

The first two would be inhabitants of Serannian, a floating island city in the dream world where a lot of my pets live, particularly the balloons.

Ordinemon's profile goes into more detail about the setting and how my other pets fit in, but basically it's where balloons go when they pop, and other entities can go when they dream.

Beacara the angelic Blob will keep her name and gender. Obviously she's a cloud angel (lol) who lives in Serannian, but I have no ideas about what her role would be. I imagine her as being sweet and gentle, and maybe a little shy. I could also use minion ideas for her.

[pet not found] the spectrum Blob will NOT keep their name, heh. So I need a new name, and they will probably end up being male. He and his minion both look pretty cheerful, but I have no ideas otherwise.

the rainbow why not they job for day/night and/or climatic events if is possible. beacara something like a nurse for the part of "balloons pop out" sweets, made in to cotton candy entity, that fits better in the air/balloon theme... cotton candy basically is sugar stings made whit hot air

Beacara strikes me as the one who greets the popped balloons and tours them around. A warm and comforting presence who makes sure they feel safe and understand their transition. She's the kind of friend everyone instantly feels safe around, the kind of presence that others feel instantly okay asking for help from and being vulnerable around. Minion ideas:

Gene is actually a really cute name, but I totally understand needing to feel like the name fits your vision. I think there are lots of ways you could go with the character. For example, could Gene be a child (one of the other entities who go there when they dream) who arrived in a dream once and fell in love with Serannian and now visits often in their dreams for fun adventures? Maybe their minion is a resident that they met in the dream and now they're best friends? I think of childlike joy and wonder and optimism when I look at the colors and personality of the art.

Sweets has so much potential! The art definitely lends itself to something related to baking / baker / bakery, it's giving me patisserie vibes and I think you could do something really cute with that. If you want to go away from the more "obvious" I think blobs lend themselves to shapeshifter characters! If you've ever seen Treasure Planet, I think of the character Morph. Those two things could be tied together, like a magical shapeshifter companion who lives in a bakery with a person and is beloved by the town for their adorable antics which draws everyone into the store day after day. The art makes me think of the little creature turning into a pile of icing on a cupcake to surprise their favorite customer or something.

I love the idea of Sweets being connected to the balloons that way! I hadn't thought about cotton candy being made with air.

Awww I love that idea for Beacara! The Angelic Blobs just look so sweet, that's perfect for her. And when I was a kid, I knew someone IRL named Gene, so I think of him every time I read the name lol. (Not that it's a bad memory or anything, I just prefer character names that I don't have any existing connection to.)

And it's funny you mention Treasure Planet because I used to be OBSESSED with it and wrote fanfic for it and stuff XD The Blobs do remind me of Morph!!

I totally get that! I was a camp counselor for a while and discussing names for possible future children is always interesting LOL.

Ah no way! I just watched it again for the first time in a while, such a good movie! Titan AE is next on my list.

you're welcome. i don't know how to explain it to you better, but artisanal or handmade cotton is made like this (in a kind of cylinder spin around and the sugar thread is formed, i remember the thing is hot too) that's why I related it to the balloons and air. I saw it at a carnival when I was a kid. :)
