Five Magic Doors

Let's play some rounds of "Behind the Magic Doors" , hosted as a chain contest.

There are five magic doors and behind each door, a treasure, a gem or nothing is waiting for you.

How to play:

Describe 5 doors or post pictures of them. Designate prizes to each door in secret. Behind one door, there is a bigger prize hidden as Grand Prize (can be anything over 2 mill sP, can also be more valuable items or even a CW). Behind one door, there is a mid-range prize item around 1 mill sP. Behind one door, there is a low prize item around 100.000 sP. Behind two doors, there is no prize item hidden at all or very low-priced ones.

Players post for which magic door they compete and describe what they think is hidden behind. The host chooses 5 entries which fit best or are otherwise amazing and distribute prizes and explanations.

The winner of the Grand Prize hosts the next contest.

Timeframe for one round: 3 - 7 days choosen by the host.

Are you brave and come forward to try your luck with a magic door?

Door 1: This door looks very old, made out of thick oak, and shows crude ornaments around the handle. Some of the wood is dented already and begins to decay. Strangely, the doorhandle is shining like fresh polished gold.

Door 2: This door looks modern and sterile, all silver metallic, and has light-blue stars painted on it. When you come nearer, you notice some glitter stuck to the frontside. Under the door slot, you see an eerie silver-colored light shining through.

Door 3: This door looks like a big old-fashioned green-colored fridge and has some hand-painted pictures attached to it, showing animals drawn by a child's hand. It seems to emit a squeaky noise, too.

Door 4: This door is out of pink colored wood, all smoothed out, and the doorknob is rose-shaped and finely ornamented. You notice a sweet smell around it and find some water droplets at the front, running down.

Door 5: This wooden door is all black painted and you can hear a deep drumming and some chanting when coming nearer. The doorhandle is black, too, but there is a small purple light shining through it which seems to pulse.

Today is actual the last day for this contest.

Since only 2 answers were posted so far, I am going to let this open until all five doors have been choosen and described.

When this doesn't happen and I see there is not much interest in this kind of contest, I am going to close it for good. I thought it would be a nice idea but looks like I was wrong. That's okay, we don't all like the same things! ^-^

Participants of this round get their complementary prizes in any case, though.

Some brave players came forward and tried their luck with a magic door!

I open door number 1. The old-looking door creaks slowly open and I cautiously walk inside. I'm in a very small very dusty room, with a golden glow in the back. Wait, it looks more like a cupboard or store room of some kind.. There's jars on shelves. I wipe some the dust off to see labels like "eye of newt", "toe of frog" and other curious items. Then I realised there's music in the background toward the golden light and head towards it. Emerging from the cupboard I come across ballroom, there are candles floating in the sky. People dance below in flowing gowns and robes, and some are holding wands. It's a magical witches and wizards ball! by

A livreried waiter rushes up to you, expectantly. „May I see your entry gem, mylady?“ he asks, waiting for you to offer him a token of some kind. Before you can answer, a dashing wizard in a purple robe with sun and stars embroidered bows before you and extended his hand, asking for the next dance. „I am paying for the beautiful lady, Arthur!“ he purrs and puts a chunk of gold into the old butlers hands, offering you a second one. „For our next rendezvous!“ he smiles.

I open Door 2. what's there? a mini disco ball with orbs of white light strewn about the room. murmurs and laughter. everyone wears shiny silver boas around their necks holding cups lined with glitter. the music is playing. ppl r vibing. all around a happy atmosphere. by

When you enter the ball, diving into the happy atmosphere, you notice a moon and stars mobile dangling below the ceiling. You look up, marveling at it, and suddenly, it fell down and into your hands. You are the choose princess of the ball today! Enjoy!

I open door , step inside to what appears to be a hangar of some sort. It’s a very cold, sterile building. I look around for doors to another area. I walk toward a door that is omitting a bright light. As soon as I step in front of it, it opens, I step in cautiously. I am greeted by what can only be described as an alien being. I wait nervously, to see what their next move will be. Next thing I know, the room is spinning and, everything goes black…. by

When gaining conscience again, a friendly looking alien with glowing yellow eyes and a chef toque is smiling at you. „No need to be afraid!“ he says, "I heard you were in need of a Chibi Potion for one of your pets! I cooked up one for you, enjoy!“

Door 3: This door looks like a big old-fashioned green-colored fridge and has some hand-painted pictures attached to it, showing animals drawn by a child's hand. It seems to emit a squeaky noise, too.

I open door 3, and something rushes to me as i step inside: a puppy! something else rushes forward, a kitten! it appears to be their play room, with squeaky toys strewn about on the floor.

Trotting behind the puppy and the kitten, something feathery comes forward. Its head is hanging and it looks up at you shortly with sad eyes when passing. Your heart goes out for the little one. As if it felt it, it turns around, showing a hopeful smile. „May I live with you now? The puppy is always plucking at my feathers!“ it squeaks.

Door 4: This door is out of pink colored wood, all smoothed out, and the doorknob is rose-shaped and finely ornamented. You notice a sweet smell around it and find some water droplets at the front, running down.

I go to door and open it. What's there? A pretty cherry tree in a decorated ceramic planter, in bloom. There's a sun lamp overhead and an automated sprinkler system that has probably just turned off - that's where the water droplets came from. The floor is glossy beige tile with a shiny chrome drain at the lowest point, and the same tiles are on the walls, with pink and cerise tiles interspersed at random places to make a beautiful scattered appearance. by

Under the cherry tree, a shrub of is growing, tended by a pink fairy. She looks up and offers you a sprig, together with a . "For your next Masquerade Ball!“ she smiles, and winks at you.

I go to door and open it. What's in there? Purple lights strung up all around the room and mages moving in tandem with the beat of the drums of a group of wizards. The ground is shining in mystical symbols as they summon what looks to be a bunch of little plant-like spirits swirling around and giggling in the mist of the sandalwood incense. As the chants get louder the little spirits get brighter and shimmer in various hues of purples and blues. As I get closer to the little creatures, they flutter over and pulse like lightning bugs as a way to say hello and welcome. by

One of the little plant-like creatures waves you nearer and dangles an amulet in front of you. „For you, brave warrior, may it bring you luck!“ it cries exitedly, and then vanishes into the crowd again!
