So, the information section on CWs doesn't exactly explain everything and in fact leaves me with more questions.
On the main page it says
Additionally, if they are sent to the user, how many get sent? Surely it can't be an unlimited supply, but it's not mentioned how many copies you actually receive.
Also, in the CWShop this may seem like an obvious question but... If an item in your CWShop sells, you get the payment for that, right? I know this seems like a silly question but I have been on sites that have an alternative currency (like CSC) shop that only partially go to the user.
Oopsie, accidentally put this in the wrong section as well. Sorry!

I can't help with much, but I believe this is referring to OFFICIAL wearables. CW stands for Custom Wearable. NPCs will not sell the CWs a user submits. They are sold in user-run CW shops!
That's what I thought. I'm not new, I've been here for nearly 14 years, but I just came back from a Hiatus and saw they had that listed on CW page now made me wonder if they were dropping some of the less sold ones into NPC shops now as the site has significantly died down and things are way less competitive. Since most other pet sites sell Custom Items just in regular shops, I had considered that may be another reason they'd consider doing it as well trying to drive in more traffic.

Not as far as I know! The CW Pawn Shop will open sometimes and sell CWs that other people have sold to him, but that's the only NPC that I know of that would sell a CW.
Good to know! It'll be a sad day if they ever do that. Thank you for answering what you could!

When you upload custom wears to the site, you are uploading it to your custom wears store. Https://new.subeta.net/cws/shop/username here
Official items are items released by subeta staff that get mass produced through the main shops.
You as the custom creator get to decide how many copies you want on site and the status (ie: private, public, artist and your copy only, etc). There are some rules around the market like no false advertisements (ie: saying you will release only 20 copies to the public but then release more than 20 in the future). Once your item is accepted, it is out in your shop where you can dictate the price and password protect the items if you don't want just anyone to purchase it.
When you create the item, it gives you the option of unlimited batches or fixed number before the item will retire. You can similarly set the number as unlimited and then warehouse the item later on. An example would be if you plan to release an item as unlimited for 48 hours before retiring it. You don't know how many copies will sell so you set it to unlimited and then warehouse the item after 48 hours.
You have to pay CSC to upload items to the site. Depending on the type of wear (bottoms, accessories, body mods, etc) you pay a different amount. Any CSC you get for purchases is the difference between the submission price and the price you set for your patrons to purchase. For example, wigs have a base cost 350 CSC. If you sold them through your shop at 400 CSC, you would get 50 CSC added to your on hands after the purchase is made.
