Hi! I would love if people could suggest some good basic items or really cool items for new Subeta players!

I'm new here also. The amount of different wardrobe items I am seeing is inanely awesome. Hope you find things you like.

Its really difficult to recommend specific items because there is just so darned much. Perhaps if you could give a hint of the kinds of things you like? Modern, anime, steampunk, science fiction, fantasy, fandoms (HP, star trek, star wars, cartoons, games, etc). Human, aliens, elves, monsters. Even things like scenery with no human avatar at all.
You can see examples of stuff people create in the forums, of course. But you can also go into the wardrobe, click on the outfits tab, click the show button next to FILTERS, then choose some options. Privacy: All Public, Sort By: Random. Then take a look at outfits. If you see something appealing, you can click on the outfit and you'll be able see all the items used to make it. You can even try it on and save it in your own wardrobe for future reference.
If you see an interesting outfit in the forums, you can click on the username to go to their profile, often they will have the HA block showing what they are wearing, so you can also get "recommendations" from that. There is a thread in the Human Avatar forum, Human Avatar Item Identification III, where you can ask people to identify an item you saw on someone's avatar if they don't have the list of items worn on their profile.

Thank you for the good advice!! I will take a look around :) I looked in wardrobe before at the filter that is “everything even if I don’t own it” and got overwhelmed…especially because so many were not even buyable /available.
