Hi! I'm sure there's a thread about this somewhere already but I can't find it - please point me at it if you do!

But yeah probably a widespread issue: I got a morostide skin I love (on third zap! wooo) and I'm excited to create an avatar around it, but I don't like the cutesy face. So I'm looking for ways to cover it up. Ideally just the eyes, nose, and mouth area, I can live with the ears being gone too. What are some good items to clear your avatar's face without removing any of the other features (moths!!!)?

there is a CW made specifically to clear the features of various skins. I don't know if there's one for every skin yet, but there are a lot. Examples:

Basically search for "Face Wipes" and see if the skin you're interested is included.

Of course there are other options if you don't want to spend on CWs. There are face kits, for example. Some cover the whole face, some just add facial features:

Other options include just using larger features, like eyes so they cover the skin's features. There are several larger eyes and mouths:

Additionally, there are noses, eyebrows, tattoos, masks and various other possibilities. It depends on the specific skin you want to use and the effect you want to create. More human looking? More monstrous looking?

I’d also recommend and their recolors to help cover up facial features.

If you’re OK with replacing the head entirely, there are even more options, like or and recolors, or the various animal heads sold at Spells Galore like

aaah yeah those CWs are exactly what I was looking for, but I can't afford those %) the harlequin makeup is pretty good too though, because the features (eyes, mouth) are very small and pale so that they can hopefully be overlayed with other features! Gotta save up for that one, thank you. edit: ooh there's MANY makeup kits! that's a good place to start for sure, thank you!

The So Fierce Eye Shadows are very good, thank you! Gonna get those asap. The headdresses are a little big for the skin i want to use (the harvest one) but I will keep them in mind for sure, they're very neat. Thank you!

I know about the animal heads and they're fantastic, but i was hoping for something i can slap human features on top %) Though I definitely want to make an avatar with those at some point they're very fun.

So I was playing around with the harvest skin and those eyes are really awkward to cover up. Anyhow, a few suggestions: The new Sugar Frosted Eye Bonbon fits pretty well, just looks like some heavy eyeliner. The blends nicely. The and/or the both do a good job of covering up the eyes, then you can add whatever eye strikes your fancy. The could work with the right hair.

Of course, if all else fails, you can always throw on a pair of sunglasses
