human zapper buff doesn't work

I have gotten multiple notifications of 'your free zapper buff has ran up!' but it does not show up under buffs on the sidebar, you do not get a notification telling you the buff is there, and I visited the zapper but there was still a timer to wait.
Just tried it myself, and I didn't get a new skin or a different one, yet it ate my Wizard Tokens.
