Hi to all the accountants here! I'm in my 3rd-ish semester of an associate's degree for it and I just have to say I HATE taxes. I'm 2 weeks into this tax procedures class and I'm struggling so much I just had to complain about it a bit. I am having such a hard time learning how to calculate tax liabilities mainly, but filling out a tax return is a real challenge for me as well. 😭 I don't know if this is a common area of confusion for others, but when my professor asked if anyone in my class wants to move on and do taxes professionally, not a single person raised their hand lol.

[-Pan] I am zero percent an expert or even learned in this field. However I have to say I knew people who just worked for helping file yearly taxes and they HATED how often codes and perimeters changed to be in compliance for properly filing. Straight forward ones are always a cake walk, but once you add having kids or a business or getting inheritance it completely changes things. So from stories I heard I get why nobody would want to make it a career option.

FINALLY GOT THE 15K WARDROBE DONE!!!!! Next up gutting and selling it.

People who do taxes in any capacity are a different breed, I swear. I'm not in accounting but I can assure you, the disdain for them continues across fields, lol.

I know this is an 'older' thread but I read somewhere that the U.S tax code is one of the most complicated in the world topped only by (I think) India. Heard it is a real headache even for the most adept.

Cigarettes are just like squirrels; perfectly harmlesss...until you put one in your mouth and light it on fire!
