Welcome to the Anniversary Festival!
September 17th, Subeta is turning 19 years! Congratulations, Subeta, and thank you for all the fun you bring and the friends we made and make!
Please design an anniversary outfit which has some meaning for Subeta and tell us something about it.
All the wardrobe is at your disposal. Please don't use old designs and please add scenery. You don't have to use any of the prize items.
There'll be 5 winners who can choose a prize out of the listed ones in order of placing. You may enter more than one design if you want, like always.
PRIZES:
The contest ends Monday 18th of September at midnight Subeta time.
Have fun!

As an anniversary celebration I did a remake of my oldest saved HA, one that I wore for years (since it was the last one I made before my long hiatus):

I started playing Subeta on the recommendation of an old friend. The attraction was that we could customize our avatars with different clothes. As a good animal admirer, I was delighted with the possibility of becoming a ''kitsune'' with this item! At the time it was the most expensive item I bought and I was so happy that all my HAs used it!!! I still like it to this day, especially the look of the ears <3 I also used one of the most recent items that I have been in love with: the ''Daruma'' kimonos! I love the color combinations that these items have in their variety, I really like the pose with the fan and the bow on the back - not to mention that they look beautiful with the animal parts (which I still like to this day) <3
come back

Happy 19 years, Subeta!
Outfit Not Found i used some of my favorite older items that were always go-tos in different outfits ages ago and made something current (couldn't help but use a few newer face layer items)! :) i didn't really use bgs back then but if i did, i loved this one because of the colors/scene! i've always admired how creative the artists of subeta are and what frickin awesome sets they come up with! delish, vanity, and subq are so beloved c:

the Ethereal Lunar set was one of my fav sets from Subeautique. i remember i spent so much on the . no regrets. one of the earliest wigs in my wardrobe after i learned there is such a thing as a wardrobe on Subeta lol.
happy anniversary, Subeta. hope there will be many more years to come. :)
The first thing I ever bought from SubQ was the . In all actuality, I only TRIED to buy it! LOL Georgie (a sweetheart who isn't with us anymore) saw my post in the shoutbox saying how bummed I was that I hadn't caught it in time. She gave it to me! It was also the first time another user had given me a gift. I hope I never forget that, and how Subeta is more than just outdoing everyone else, and how much more fun things are when you give back and watch out for newbies so we can keep Subeta around for another 17 years. Recreated one of my classic looks.

When I first played over a decade ago, I never got into HA’s, but one item I really really wanted but never got was the and when I started playing again, it was the first thing I bought! I wasn’t really about HAs at the time, but I needed one for masq so I made this one as my first avatar ever (and added a mask at the time): by Protected This Golden Keeper was another in a long line charged with keeping the Guardians. And they’ve always been ornery things… you just did your best~ So I’ve done an update, decided The Golden still keep The Guardians, but they’ve taken on some decidedly millennial traits. The little guys are still ornery, but we know now they just need to go outside for a bit: by Protected Subeta supports growth and change and individuality. It’s a safe place to be yourself and if you want to be different, be different. Need to work through something, make a pet or an avatar or write a story. Try a thing, why not. I never thought I’d be into avatars or battling and now I really love both 😊 I’m really grateful this platform exists and that I can be apart of it!
I joined, way back in the day, for the oekaki drawing, which sadly never worked well on my old computer. Came back after a long hiatus for the freedom of expression enjoyed everywhere here. Stayed for the awesome art, fun events, and most of all - the wonderful people!
To celebrate Subeta's anniversary, I am cosplaying as Shinwa to thank her for letting us do her quests and occasionally rewarding us with boosters to give to our beloved pets. Also, taking this opportunity to wear some really old wearables as Subeta has come so far! I'm even wearing her cute and fluffy "Shinwa Doll Anniversary Cake" dress and "Shinwas Dancing Shoes" ready to party. 🥳

Happy Anniversary, Subeta! May there be many more wonderful years to come! My favorite pet species has always been Kumos, so here's an outfit representing the beloved pet: Outfit Not Found

I saw the Argo eyes first worn by and my, what a high price the liner had back then! I used it quite often, too, after I was able to pay for it, LOL. What wonderful news when we got eyes in Sbq and later, even makeup CWs were allowed.
I have such old contest HAs stored, too, some are very dear to my, like the one when I won this coat:

It is so dear to me, I totally understand your memories.
Kitsune items where such hits, and kimonos! Many of them unfindable or ungettable bc of the high prices now.
I love the color of the items you chose, such a warm cream!
This is such a cute HA face and a wonderful background layering!
I loved the Ethereal set so much, too! Somehow, fairy-like, too.
Rainyday is still my fav designer, so many cute sets! And I miss Georgie very much, too.
What cute eyes!
I am glad you finally fell for the wardrobe, LOL, and found Colovaria! I never noticed this playing card before!
What a cute anni art and yes, the friends we make here are the most precious treasures!
