i’ve got a few! john wolfe is probably my favorite for anything horror-related, and i also like jerma for general gaming stuff (i know he streams but i usually catch it on the stream archive or 2nd jerma youtube channels). i’m also into channels like lockpicking lawyer, midwest magic cleaning, mountain rug cleaning, and post10/new england wildlife & more. lately i’ve been on a scambaiting kick so i’ve been watching atomic shrimp and kitboga (who also streams, but again i usually watch on youtube)! yet to check out atomic shrimp’s non-scam related videos but i’m sure i will some time when i’m off my scambaiting kick.
oh i have a bajillion!!! seconding jerma for sure, i've been watching him for over 10 years now.

I listen/watch YouTube way too much.
These are some of my favorites: Chelcie Lynn Cut & Jubilee Fundie Fridays Kendall Rae & Crime Weekly
🌸Seeking:im waiting for her to post a new vid! it's been so long!
It's a variety! I have seen her do everything from Bloody Mary to more cryptid-like stuff. I enjoy her artstyle, too--it's sort of inspired me to want to make a more in depth mythology/folklore storytime channel myself. >>I wish more artists would go for this genre since I get worn out on IRL storytimes/drama stuff pretty quick.
Stephanie Soo (aka MissMangoButt & Rotten Mango) You know the best drama? Chinese drama! Omg I love when she covers Chinese drama. IV drip of loooove~

I watch way too much Youtube, so I have several channels that I follow.
My favourite is probably /">Ashens, although he doesn't post as much as he used to. I understand because after running a YouTube channel for 16 years, I would want to change things up too.
Second Favourite is a tie between -Noble">Dominic Nobel with his show Lost in Adaptation and ">Overly Sarcastic Productions, primarily for their Trope Talks videos.
Other than those, I am subscribed to ">Musical Hell, ">Acapella Science (although the creator I think has moved on to other projects), ">Ze Frank, and ">Folding Ideas (Dan Olsen).
I also really like ">Ryan Hollinger, but I have to watch his stuff solely on incognito mode because my wife sometimes uses my YouTube account and she spooks really easy, so I can't have it suggest anything horror based.

Fundie Fridays!!! I do love that channel, though sometimes I have to take a break almost, lol. I'm a big fan of religious deconstruction content in general, and though I've never been Mormon, Zelph on the Shelf does a really good job talking about hot topics in that sphere.
I really like Girl With The Dogs - recently she's moved to doing grooms on dogs that need it but have behavioral issues that make it harder for traditional groomers to take them on, and it's really neat to see how well that kind of thing can be done with patience and understanding.
Most of the videos I watch are video essays because those are just my favorite thing. Usually I go for ones about books or weird internet topics, but I recently found the channel People Make Games, which does reporting on some obscure-but-fun-to-learn-about video game topics (think Polygon, but more serious). They did a 2-parter on how Roblox exploits kids into free labor and it's both fascinating and disturbing. 10/10 would recommend.
Sorry I'm so late to replying.
I just looked up the eating for free podcast. I'll have to check that out sometime, as I see they have some deconstruction videos. I've never heard about the Barney (the dinosaur?) parody. I looked it up and found what I think was the original documentary. It was interesting back in the day as a baby, I would watch Barney, and there was so much hate. I'm not sure what that was in response to: maybe the beginning of the internet/meme culture.
Oh cool, I like deconstruction videos too. I have to take breaks from some channels. There are a few therapists I watch that are more serious. But Fundie Fridays can be a little lighter sometimes; I enjoy watching Jen. I also watch Girl With The Dogs! I love when she shows restricted dogs that she grooms ie: akitas, pit bulls, etc.

Lately, I've been watching lots of Abroad in Japan; he's currently doing a series where he goes around North Japan and posts a new video about each stop every 1-2 days.
It feels like a slightly more unhinged version of a BBC documentary, and it makes me want to go back.
I also follow Paolo from Tokyo, Mythical Kitchen, Binging with Babish, Try Guys, and Tasting History with Max Miller.
a few I've been enjoying as of late, in alphabetical order:
Dr. Becky - astrophysicist who is super super fun Kaz Rowe - history, with an LGBT+ twist LGR - my comfort channel, tech retrospectives, oddware, and the like Linus Boman - graphic design deep dives Miniminuteman - archaeology!! he's done a lot of cool trips lately Pushinguproses - another comfort channel, old lady shows and adventure games thehistorysquad - medieval history, lots of medical stuff, also weirdly comforting? ThorHighHeels - older/sometimes obscure games plus great music
