I've been wanting to draw something inspired by something I saw. The problem is, the 'something' is AI-generated so I'm not sure how to proceed, given how AI art is created.

theres nothing wrong w taking inspiration, so long as you make it your original work and dont try to copy the source of inspiration. in this particular case, id say its ok to go ahead and draw the thing you want. the only issue would be if you regularly go to ai art for inspiration, in which case youd be better off just looking at actual artwork and photographs for inspiration instead

AI is sketchy, but I don't think there's any harm in taking inspiration from basically anywhere. As long as you're not just directly tracing, I'd say you're all good.

As others have said, nothing wrong with taking some inspiration from AI, as long as you're not directly tracing.

I feel like AI can be a really helpful tool to help brainstorm and inspire, but I hate how unethical AI generators are. :s

Personally, I think any inspiration you take from it and produce with it is worth WAY more than the thing itself. Inspiration isnt so simple, like how influence isnt either. Dont feel bad, I think its good to make something yours out of it!
