there's so many different pets i think are cool, and i know i can expand from just the 10 pet limit, but it still feels pretty hard to choose. how did you pick your absolute favs out of the ones you like? do you try to only have one per species and/or one per color?

If I like the species/color combo... I'll get it. I try and see if I can build a personality and character around that and it often helps me lock I my choices.

Currently have a few wanted color and species combos I have got to work towards.

Angelic Charlie and Nightmare Irion to be exact.

Oh but I have a huge soft spot for like 90% of Irions and if I could have them all I would but I keep only the ones I really adore.. for now.

honestly angelic charlie is a really good one. i don't think i like it enough to take up one of my pet slots, but i'm really charmed by the DIY angel costume. charlie has some really fun colors but it's one of the ones i appreciate from a distance :P same with yaheera, zasaba, etc. zentu too, i have one now i was going to turn nostalgic but i think there's other ones i might want more. i love a lot of nostalgic ones though. i have nostalgic keeto but i really want a nostalgic feli too. i grew up with beanie babies so it's near to my heart

Nostalgic Feli are best! I have one because it reminds me of my real life cat Evee. :)

i like morbid things, so when i saw the harvester, i immediately knew i had to get that one

i looked around on neocolours for melu, who i decided will be a sweetheart ruffie eventually, and zon i happened to find in the adoption center. i really like the experiment pets too, i'd like to get one at some point.

Most of my pets are the way they are because I want to collect all the Waradors and all the Nuclear pets. I'm not there yet but hopefully someday. Oddly enough, my Nuclear Warador isn't my favorite pet because I don't have any great ideas for his character. How sad.

I also really like Endeavors so I've got a bunch of those too. Same with experiments; I wish I could zap more weirdos into existence but there just isn't room.

The rest of my pets are random one-offs that either just fit an idea I had for a character or I like the art so much that I HAD to have it. I'd have one of every pet there is if I could...choosing is indeed hard lol

I originally tried to not double-up on species/colors and only pick my fave combos of each, but as I got more pets it became progressively harder so I do have some duplicating colors (I'm such a sucker for scribble!)

i just have the one thus far, and honestly the lain just appealed to me for being a cute little bird, and also the name of the species immediately gave me a name for it(as i am a huge nerd).

i feel this. i already have two nostalgic pets, and i was going to turn my zentu into one, too, but now i'm rethinking (which i guess i already said, but still). i think part of the difficulty for me is that so many of the pets are ones that i find cool, but maybe not necessarily ones that i would want to have. i really love the blacklight qrykee design, but overall qrykee isn't that appealing to me. i think it's one of the coolest looking of that color, though! scribble is one that i'm really charmed by. scribble ruffie is definitely on my list, but i might add scribble wyllop, too. it's such a charming color to me

oh, like serial experiments lain? :P i think lain is a cool one too, none of them particularly stood out to me though. i guess it's a good thing that it's hard to pick; it's kind of a testament to how well designed they all are. it was a lot easier for me to eliminate certain species/colors on neopets, but here, not so much

I like the weird and freaky pets because I am also weird and freaky. Why can't my arms hold all these Experiments?

Before making my account, I skimmed all the pets in all the colors. Picked a chubby little weirdo that pleased me to generate and save for a blacklight potion for, and every other pet has been a lucky adoption that I've started to crystalize characters around.

I like toys, horror, cute things being scary and scary things being cute. Subeta has a wealth of all these things~

We should have infinite extra pet slots only fillable by blobs. I want one of every color. Tiny squishy children. Precious beans.

I agree. Every blob deserves a home, and frankly I'm shocked at this oversight by the Subeta staff. Where do we file a petition?

I'm a sucker for dinosaurs and reptiles. So a Velosotor was an easy first pet to pick. My second (an Antlephore) was adopted from the Adoption Center because I saw her there and was sad. And my fiancee sent me my third (a Qrykee) because we had just watched a bad alligator monster movie (Lake Placid).

Like , I have a soft spot for "uncharismatic" animals like vultures and the like, so that's where my first boy (Fester) comes from. The cat was a potion that I threw at a little guy from the adoption center at random.

i prefer pets who are dog-like or dragon-y haha.
