Hope everyone is enjoying the season! What ever season you may be in.. It’s been triple digits once again here in California. I’ve lived in these temps all my life, you’d think I’d be used to it…NOPE! We finally decided to get a small pool after not having one for years. Oh my goodness, I had forgotten what a difference having a pool is for coping with the heat!

It seems like it gets harder every year! I don’t know if it’s age related or what! Lol The hottest it’s been is 111* only supposed to be 100* today.

Summertime in California is scary!! To many fires!! They get worse all the time too! Last week, my brother, his son and 2 grandsons had to fight a fire that broke out in pastures around his home. Luckily, they were able to stop forward progress, it was contained to 20 acres being burned. I always worry so much about my family in Northern California. They’ve been having to evacuate for the last 4 or 5 years because of fire. My brother is one of those people that will stay until the last possible second. UGH! This latest fire was way to close!! Still, he stayed..

I'm glad we don't have to worry about fires here.we have been getting the haze from the Canadian fires.it's been most of the Summer.I hope your brother stay's safe putting out those fires.It would be so hard to watch your house go up in flames also.I just hope when he has to leave he does. Hugss

I hope so too!! He was saying that this one was difficult and that he was feeling his age out there. Let’s hope he listens to the authorities from now on!! We’re not getting smoke from the fires in Canada. Such devastation happening up there!! So very sad!! I pray that all is well with and, the fires aren’t affecting her!!

The pool sounds great . The fires very frightening. I don't know why they get worse each year. I pray your brother will stay safe. There is a fire in the next town over from us and so far under control. We haven't been getting smoke from it yet which is a blessing. Michigan was too hot for me in the summer but we didn't have temperatures that high. We did live on a lake which helped during the day but the moist air would roll in at night and the sheet over us would be wet in the morning. I had migrane headaches there but have never had one since we moved to Canada.

The pool really is a life safer! Sometimes, it’s just too hot in the afternoon. I go in the early evening on those days. Big forest fires are very frightening! Here in CA the fires are burning hotter every year! Mother Nature is very angry at humans. She’s showing the world just how angry she is! We need to listen and, do something! I try to reduce my footprint by recycling, using less water, and, buying things in glass instead of plastic. It’s a small contribution, just think though, if everyone did this… Ashley gets migraines too, the heat definitely contributes to them! That’s amazing that you haven’t had one since moving to Canada! I’ll keep you and your country in thoughts and prayers. Love you sweet friend <3
