Can anybody please guide me to a thread, that explains, how to colour hair, respectively how to transfer existing hair colours to new styles? I've been skimming through the forums but to no avail. I'm really sick and tired, that whenever (scarcely anyway) I want to make a new avatar, I fail at choosing a new hairstyle, because they aren't automatically presented in my colour like they used to. They are light brown instead.

My avatar infos just say "Hair: Legacy Style" and I wouldn't know, how to choose one of those and then see & transfer the various tones. PLUS: some of my avatars are bold, even though the picture shows a hairstyle (plus from beginning of Wardrobe Refurbishment my original avatars didn't get transferred at all, in spite of going through the prescribed steps over and over... but, yeah, c'est la vie...).

One of the main problems of transferring colors is that each hair has its own number and placement of streaks as well as high and low lights. This means that even if you manage to transfer colors, the wigs won't come out looking the same.

You should be able to load the wig from an old avatar. Open the old HA. On the line with the hair, it will say: Hairstyle: NAME OF HAIRSTYLE. Click on the HAIR tab, then choose that same hairstyle from your list (it will likely look brown in the list). Once you click on it, it should open into the color picker area with the changed colors. From that point, use your back button, select a new wig, click on it. It will be the default color (brown), but you should still have all the color options from the original colorful wig to choose from to recolor the base, highlight, lowlight and streaks.

The only thing I'm aware of is Redeemable Wig Streaks Guide? which shows some of the wigs you can add to the salon and has brightly colored the streaks so it shows you where you can change the colors. Unfortunately its a pretty old thread and a lot of the images/wardrobe previews have been deleted.

One of my problems: My avatar infos just say "Hair: Legacy Style" But I only have 4 pages of hair and managed to find all styles I had used (including the now bald ones, which I also seem to have to recreate) but one (I think a Bugs thread exists about some coupon hair not showing up?) Yet, when I click on any of my used hair styles, I only get the regular white/black/brown options. And I can't even make heads or tails of how to choose the new colour I added to the palette. I clicked on all squares, tried dragging, I have no idea how that should work. Surely there must be a guide of how to use the hair salon... I'm at a complete loss.

And honestly I don't have the slightest desire to spend multiple hours trying to get the right hues again and re-establish, what once was automatically applicable. :-( I spent a fair amount on coupons and redeemable wigs and can't even use them.

it looks like you used 7b22022, a0451f, and F6BB7E

you can copy-paste each of these numbers into the new salon's palette (once they're added, they'll be all lined up in a row next to the color picker), and then with the options on the bottom you'll want one as your base color, one as the shadow color, and one for the highlight. i hope this works! i'm not 100% which one is meant to be which, so you might have to try a few times to get a match :(

Oh, you're an angel, thank you!!! The numbers - no idea, how you figured them out? - are the vital part. I can work from there in order to make little alterations depending on the styles.

I deleted the brown from the original palette and now "my" colors finally became clickable and applicable. (wasn't feasable before, don't know, why; that's just the kind of shit I have to battle every day, rofl.) Thanks a million to you both for your time and help!

you're welcome! what i did was copy the url of the wig and look for the hex codes, and since almost everything was white + said enabled:false, i just tried on the first three colors i could find (they were all close to the start of the url) --

you can probably do the same thing for any of your saved wigs (assuming that it has the same url layout), but i'm not sure if the colors will be in the same spot o:

(also i have one too many digits in the first color i gave you, it should just be six x) i think the salon cut off the extra automatically when i tried it so i didn't notice lol)
