Hello all,

I haven't actively played this site in YEARS, thought i would check it out again. Everything seems the same (besides the legacy names now). Curious as to how busy the site still is and how people are spending their time on here nowadays.

It varies. Mostly it's people who've been around and some new users here and there Forums aren't as active all over as they once were Holidays have been a bit rearranged so may want to check what holiday is when now

Welcome back! I have started playing again after a very long hiatus too. Forums def seem a lot quieter which is a bummer, that was one of my favorite parts about the site before. Mostly collecting pets and adding to their treasures. Profiles have changed a bit so I found some easy templates to use.

Yeah it used to be easy to hit the 100 posts needed for BB access. Now it's a hard push. Hard to say if it's because sites like this aren't as popular or what anymore.

Yeah I wonder if other technology/gaming has developed so much in the last 10-15 years pet sites like this probably just aren't as interesting/popular anymore. When I first joined 16 years ago pet sites were SO popular- I was a teenager at the time and there was definitely a need for pet sites that were more 'adult' than Neopets and allowed for creativity.

I definitely consider Subeta a creative outlet- I think I will always use the site to some capacity but I'm definitely not very social when I am on here ):

let's of people are def around! events and holidays are the most active. other than that most people just come on for the dailies like me. but i'm always around for friends! i hope you find a reason to stick around a bit longer. feel free to add me if you wanna chat or anything! :)

I signed in after like 5 years off the sites! it is sad that the forums are a little deader, but tbh they're much more active than I war expecting!

I think it's a bit of that, and that ppl who are into pet sites are kind of- a generation? Like Kids These Days (hahah) don't start with Neopets and then branch out from there like we did, so they never get into these kinds of games at all.

But also Subeta seems to have kind of fallen into obscurity? In contrast, Flight Rising for example is a LOT more active, the forums move much faster than here. I was surprised by how slow it is in comparison. I guess Subeta isn't actively advertising itself anywhere, so the influx of new users doesn't match the dropoff.

But the economy on Flight Rising is terrible x) Subeta was/is(?) definitely one of the pet sites which had the best effort/reward ratio I've ever played, which is why I'm tentatively checking it out again. Dunno how long it'll stick but I am feeling very nostalgic and fond so far :D

You're totally right about it being a generational thing. I started playing Neopets as a kid in elementary school lol, and naturally there is a progression where you age out of that and start playing other types of more "adult" pet sites. I was still only like 14-15 when I first joined Subeta and it was SO refreshing to be on a site that allowed so much more creative freedom.

I totally agree with what you said about the economy here. That and the sheer amount of pets we can have. It's definitely more fair, I feel like pets are attainable here. Not necessarily "easy", but if you put consistent effort into questing you can build up a steady stream of income.

Feeling nostalgic too haha, enjoy your time back for however long you stick around (:

Big same- I'm coming back after not having played actively in quite a while myself. I was half-hoping to get back into the RP scene, since this is where I rp'd when i was younger... but alas, the rp forums seem especially empty.

Also, I quite liked flight rising when i checked it out. Dragons are the best! And the semi-random breeding was super fun! But the difficulty of accruing treasure without a hard grind to sacrifice your trained dragons... turned me off pretty hard, cause yeah, like y'all said, SB economy really feels like you can set 1-2 goals, and actually feel like you're Making Progress towards them, especially if you play somewhat actively.

Welcome back! I'm one of the newer players. I discovered this site a few months back when I tried going onto Neopets and it was mostly shut down at that point. I'm loving the site so far. As for the forums, I'm actively trying to be more involved in conversations. Mostly what I enjoy doing on here is setting up my pets with treasures to go with their (future) backgrounds and selling in my shop. I'm always down for new friends as well!

Also a returning player here, trying to get the Blue Building posts are kinda tough with the forums being quieter. I remember this place booming about 10 years ago. Lol.
