Hi everyone ^_^

i just logged in after not being here for many, many years. apparently i have had this account for almost 16 years. i once used this site daily, and for many hours per day at that. i practically lived on this website lol. i even made a few longstanding friends. i even met someone who is now dead and she kind of saved my sanity in a way and she'll never know the impact she had on my life bc i never got the chance to express it. the event happened after we fell out of contact and it was her words she had one spoke to me that kept me grounded in the moment. rip kupo if anyone knew her. i'll love you forever lucy.

anyways... chit chat was the main forum i would use. i would speak to so many people lol. i was just a kid back then. these forums allowed me to flex my developing worldviews and opinions. i'm 28 now and quit this site long ago. gave away all my items, lost touch with many subeta friends. i've grown up so, so much since i last used subeta. i quit when i was about 18 so it's been a whole decade lol. i don't know what the user demographics are on this site anymore but if there's any kids out there and your life is a living hell.... with determination and pure grit and reckless abandon and willpower and a dash of luck which i promise will eventually happen to you.... you will eventually reach a point in life where you take a step back and go holy shit thank god my life doesn't suck as bad as it once did LOL.

i'm kind of rambling here :) im just trying to say hello and reintroduce myself a bit and express the gratitude i have for the users of this site and the people who have kept it running after all these years. i don't intend to become active again, but i wanted to drop by and say something. hello & goodbye! <3

Omg same! I was gone for like 10 years and felt a kick of nostalgia for how the internet used to be along with resentment for what the internet and social media has become. Honestly I wasn't as social as I should have tried to be myself when used this site. At 18 I was still in that whole "lone wolf" type of headspace and much too socially inept and awkward. Well I'm still a lot of those things but I'm a LOT better now lmao.

It's a shame this site hasn't really picked up much popularity over the years and it makes me a bit sad. Hopefully Subeta can live on donations and love.

I am new around here, but I want to echo the sentiment - no matter how bad it is now, there WILL become a point where you look back on everything and say "WOW am I glad I made it through that; life is so much better now!"

I feel that on the biggest level! Life sometimes feels like you tripped and fell into a hole but it always feels good when you finally climb back out.

how curious I'm the same age and my account is also 16 years old! I totally understand how Subeta connects us to what we love here. I came here when I lost my dog in a tragic accident and talking about it on forums helped me heal better along with making some new friends and distracting myself from the pain of grief.

Kind of odd, but I still think the demographics here could be people our age! Haha but of course no one around me knows I still play this except maybe my boyfriend cause I made a tribute to our stray cat here :)

I echo that sentiment about being curious about the demographics. I'm 30, I joined when I was a teenager as well. Nearly 16 years ago- sheesh. Hard to believe.

I never made any super close friends, but I definitely did find some friendships and really connected to people mostly about pet spotlight and pet-related stuff. That's definitely where I spent most of my time/energy when I'm online.

It's sad to see it's kind of fallen off a bit, especially forums-wise.
