I've been trying to keep a daily journal, but I feel like I don't do much worth writing about. My average day is pretty boring. What are some things you journal about besides descriptions of your day? I keep to-do lists, lists of books I finished and what I thought of them, and some daily habit trackers, but I'd like to have more to write about. I used to write poetry and story ideas in my journal, but lately I don't seem to have as much writing inspiration. I tried keeping a food diary for a while, but keeping a list of everything I ate just felt like an uninteresting waste of paper, so I stopped. I'd love suggestions for other things to record or write about.

Everyday I try to do a reflection and include that in my journalling part. So gratitude, new word of the day, did I have any thoughts that bothered me that day and what were they, what am I looking forward to, how was I feeling both emotionally and physically, did I feel like I didn't do something in particular that I wanted to that day.

That sounds neat! I might give it a try, I like the way the reflection can cover a lot of different topics like you listed. That sort of flexibility is nice to have.

Yeah plus it is low pressure. And sometimes reflecting leads me into a writing flow and I end up writing a ton.
