I'm boycotting reddit and need a new home to waste time on reading conversations and sharing recipes, plant advice and skincare tips. Just spend the last few hours scrolling Tildes and it looks good!

Not on Tildes, but I moved over to https://squabbles.io/ a few weeks ago. It combines elements of Reddit and Twitter (so a good alternative to the other dumpster fire). You've got communities for specific topics you can follow like on Reddit, and individual user timelines like Twitter. No invite needed.

They've only been going for about a month, so it's still a little quiet in some communities. But it has been growing, most people are really nice (ignoring the occasional troll) and the owner has been putting a lot of work into making it better. It works great on mobile browser and there are several third party apps in the works.

I'm already on Squabbles, and Kbin is kinda good too but the whole fediverse thing is still a bit chaotic over there and I got a Tildes invite not long after I posted here too. Squabbles is def the most fun of the three so far! Really hoping the userbase grows now that it has an app and everything.
