I finished one of the wardrobe achievements and when I looked under my achievements it's still in red and not turning green? I tried going to my wardrobe and opening achievements again after but no luck. do I need to go somewhere specific to make it work?

Each type of achievement has different issues.

If the issue is one of the layer achievements (Off my Chest, On your Arms, etc), try this: Layer Achievements.

If its one the Subeautique, or individual item types, make sure to click the "Show required items" button. If the individual items aren't getting check marks, confirm that you have the items via account search and that they are in your wardrobe. If they are definitely there, try clearing your cache and doing a forced reload.

If its a different one I need to know the name of the achievement to help further.

It's just the cache. Wait a while and then come back, it will be there (I think you need to click the "Show Reuired Items" button but I might be misremebering)

I tried the clearing and reloading, it was a force to reckon with and it finally did turn green but thank you for clarifying the layer ones, I was so confused what I was doing wrong!

Yeah, the cache can be weird and it changes day to day! Some days stuff gets triggered right away, other days you seem to have to just wait and wait.
