So I'm new (3rd day here) and I just chanced one of my two pets in The Rift. Well, she disappeared.

Thing is, she's still set as my active pet. The game still says I'm using two of my ten pet slots. Is she coming back in a few days? If not, do I ever get that pet slot back?

If not, it seems like a HUGE gamble to not warn players about, since you're risking a pet slot (which I'd have to pay real money to replace) instead of just a pet.

I can't find any more info online. Please enlighten me! Thank you. :)

Yes! She'll come back either with the Riftborn color or as an RA-001 or RA-002 pet depending on whether or not her species is currently available in the Riftborn color.

Also a bit of semantics here, but some pet slots are buyable with sP directly through the Millionaire Center, and you can also buy CSC with sP from other users (such as with etc.) so you wouldn't technically have to spend real money to get a new pet slot c:

As far as I know, in my time here (over a decade), there's no way to lose a pet, short of you actually leaving the site for over a year. But now that Subeta allows for multiple pets to share the same name, I don't think that's exactly a thing anymore or as big a thing as it was.

That said, the Rift will return your pet within a few days, as said, as one of the available colors.
