I have a kinda dumb question but...do certain minions suit certain pets better than others? If so how do I ascertain which ones are better?

I don't think pets themselves have a preference for what minions you give them. They're perfectly happy with whatever you give them (literally, a minion keeps a pet's happiness at 10).
Some people prefer their pet's minions to match their color, or to match a theme or reference their backstory in some way. If that's what you're looking for, you can ask for recommendations on the pet forum, or go to the Subetalodge website and use their Minionizer feature.
I See. I don't care about the colors, I was just wondering it it mattered what type of minion you pared with a pet but since it doesn't matter than I am ok.
