Things were better. She had escaped that shithole Centropolis right before the lockdowns, stowed away on the last cargo ship to the lower levels of Atebus, the bite on her arm from some weird garbage slug ignored. Discovered shortly after her transformation, she was paraded to all the best and most secret of dance parties as "rift blessed." She knew she was being used but at least for the first time in her life she was well fed, clean, and with a proper place to sleep during the day. So what if the orange slugs within her left her body every morning and returned fewer and fewer each night? So what if her new eyes were seeing shadows move within the dark of the city? Things were finally better.

Bella was exploring on a remote jungle island, looking for new flora and fauna. On her journey, she stumbled upon some unusual honeycombs which contained some odd species of bees. The bees appeared to be undead and able to produce honey directly from their bodies. Before Bella could back away, the bees swarmed her and stung furiously. When she awoke, she found she had transformed-she was now part of the hive-as the queen bee!

Crimson was the Devil's most loyal service imp. Following her were small gatherings of blood-red undead-butterflies. These were her familiars. As the Devil's servant, Crimson always thought her time would be spent fighting off threats or carrying out important missions. Well, the most important mission of her day was usually the morning visit to Hellbucks. As usual when she arrived, the workers would nervously silence and begin working on the order. Tall mocha, double espresso, add whip. She needed not a word and the order was sat on the end of the counter. The only sounds you could hear were the fluttering of small wings and the most recent hell-hipster hits station playing low. The familiars pick up the drink and follow Crimson out the door, following her back to Master's castle. "Your drink, sir" the butterflies fly the drink over elegantly with the motion of her hand, passing it to the Devil himself. He takes a sip, noticing that it tastes a bit off. "What is this?" Crimson stands up straighter and nervously answers him "uhh, ahh, uhm, A Mocha doub-" she is cut off and he motions her mouth shut. "No no no" he replies "this is not what I ordered" The Devil, having a particularly bad morning decides to take out his frustrations on Crimson. He orders her familiars to begin attacking. They begin swarming and biting her, injecting her with their undead toxins. Eventually, the Devil commands them to stop. They go back to their light swarm around Crimson, who now feels a little... different...

Absolutely sick of these pompous parties! Stuffy people, not one thought in the crowd yet they speak and speak and speak incessantly. On the outskirts of her family's property away from the crowd, an attendant reminds her to not stray too far into the forest for strange things happen there. Abigail giggles at the woman's simple attitude, superstitions run rampant in the servant's quarters. "I'll be quite alright, thank you. If my father calls for me, do tell him I will be home soon." She walks down the worn path into the forest, one she’s walked hundreds of times. As Abigail walks deeper, she thinks back to the woman's words, was she a servant? A partygoer? Now that she thinks about it, she didn’t recognize the woman. The more Abigail tries to recall her face, she finds that she remembers it less and less. She reaches the clearing and realizes she hears... nothing. No sounds of nature or distant music. A chill creeps up her spine, she should turn back now. She turns to find that the path she has walked is gone. Frantic, she swivels her head, it all looks the same. The trees almost seem to reach out toward her, frightened she starts to run. She needs to get home, she said she would be home soon.

Private Outfit she had been at a rooftop party - on her way to it, really, when it happened. she TRIPPED going up the stairs, ugh. a board was loose. she scraped her knee, how embarrassing, wishing she had worn regular tights instead of fishnets, they would've hid her clumsiness. the person behind her laughed when she righted herself and began going up again - they promptly tripped and received a similar gash on their hand. hah, karma.. up on the rooftop, there was a strange smog surrounding the building she hadn't noticed from the sidewalk. little did the world know, the smog was spreading, permanently - from the pipes, from sewers, going everywhere. the party descended into chaos as it infected them, those with wounds first, and drove them into the darkness underground.
