I'm crawling out of a hole basically to see if I can officially come back to this place. I have a checkered history with this community, having been openly mocked over my previous username, my ideas, and generally having my voice silenced. I still hold a lot of ill feelings over these things, but still I can't let this damn site go.
I have been on Subeta, on and off, for over 14 years. Nearly its entire history. The thing that's always kept me here has been the avatars, and the creativity that's... mostly possible. Over the years, I've made artwork using my avatars, and some of those artworks have been some of the most important ones I've made. Many of the wearables on this site have inspired my styles in real life in some pretty significant ways. At one point I actually bought a steel-boned steampunk corset in real life and wore it 'till I got it closed completely, all because of Subeta. (And I should say, wearing it was AMAZING.) This site provides an opportunity for self-expression that seems little-seen in most avatar games these days.
But I am not a hermit by nature. I hate this stupid song and dance, coming back here only to revisit my expectations and leave again. Keeping silent when I don't actually want to.
So I just want to have a conversation. Talk to me.
I know how you feel. I've left and returned so many times, tell myself to leave for good but in the end I always come back.i miss my friends, I miss the events.... so here I am lol.
I like making avies though as of late I've been more into just battling and training my pets.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. The events are definitely something. Survival's one of my favourites, for sure, for all of the new zombie skins. It's cool to see what kinds of gory messes they come out with each year.
Nice~ I definitely am only occasional on the battling front, myself. I have one pet I've trained, I can only just occasionally manage hard-level battles. Most of the time I only seem to battle during special battle events or after a reset. I've occasionally wanted to get more into it, but it seems like I forget everything after each break.

Survival is fun, yes! My favorite holiday is Morostide personally. I guess I like spooky to the max... :p
I get like that too but for me it comes back in full swing once I get a feel for the challengers. This year might be year of the battler lol we kinda hope.

Heh, that's true, Morostide tends to a lot of fun too, even more so because of all of the fun items it comes with. There was that one year we had a big event during Morostide as well, the whole mystery where a character went missing. That one was cool, though I kinda fell behind towards the end of it. The Masquerade's another big one I really like, at least in the past I'd considered it my top favourite of the bunch. It's been going a lot more cyberpunk in the past few years, I'm into it but it does feel less like a masquerade, or like the venue needs to be updated or something.
I looked back at the last couple of Zombie skins as well, and they are starting to seem more like zapper skins than zombie skins to me. I've gone old school and grabbed Faceworm this year while I wait to see what this year's strains look like.
Nice! You definitely do better than me then haha, battling just doesn't seem to come back to me very well. I get mired in the loadout, the scrolls, trying to learn how to optimize my strategy for more challenging fights, I guess it's just a bit much for my dyslexic brain to learn without going full commitment on it.

That is true, I think they may have just run out of ideas and that's why they added the cyberpunk stuff to spice things up. I don't mind, they try and do a mix of both each year now
I suppose there is only so much they can do with the whole zombie asthetic? But I do agree with you.
I suppose battling just clicks with me, that and I like getting loot for myself and others! Oh if you ever feel lost, ask on the battle chat forum, everyone is super friendly and can offer help if needed!
Yeah. I love both, I just wish it didn't have to be one or the other. I get running out of ideas though, I'd pretty much expected it to happen some years ago.
Probably haha. I know one year they released some items themed after "The Last of Us", those were good. With that in mind, it would be so, sooo cool if they were to do a Dead Space set for the new remake. God especially if they added a BG based on the hydroponics level, that one's my favourite. I am HYPED for that game! It is expensive though, so I can't afford it yet, which hurts just a little bit.
I'll keep that in mind.
Are there any games or anything you like? I saw Elden Ring is mentioned on your profile, it's not one I know a lot about. It's more in the open world genre, right? Comparable perhaps to something like Dark Souls?
Yes, made by the same developer too. It is my first Souls Game actually.

Ah, haha. I've seen a small bit of Dark Souls, I've seen a lot more of Skyrim, I've had a couple of people try to get me into it.
I play Isekai Memories - actually I just got done remaking my spreadsheet for it - a few other phone games like the Nikki games, Minecraft... A lot of the games I like are old ones that I like to replay from time to time, games like Transistor, Tales of the Abyss, and the .hack games. Sadly my PS2 is defunct now, though, so I'm waiting until I can afford the part I need to repair it.
Oh those sound pretty cool! I play mobile games myself but they are usually just match 3 or merge games.

Ohh, does Merge Dragons happen to me on that list? It's a really great merge game, the only downside for me is that they only offer facebook services as a way to secure your account. I dislike facebook, so I've lost my account twice, after nearly completing the existing game both times too. I've been waiting on them to offer a different backup option but they still have not, last I saw.
If you like really chill games as well, I've been kind of obsessed with Secret Cat Forest. (I totally also play matching games btw, haha, and a lot of solitaire. The occasional puzzles, or mahjong, too.)

I have that game on my list of games to play actually! Right now the only merge game I'm playing is Hell Merge. It's basically a theme park fixer upper game.
I'm always trying games and either deleting them because they are boring or not what they advertised or finishing them and moving on. I have a word game I'm playing right now called Word Logic. It's fun!
Nice! Yeah, I definitely recommend it. It's more in-depth than what I've seen for a lot of merge games, including a little bit of strategy to your merges and a few timed levels.... and wiki guides for every level if you ever get stuck. The home "camp" is pretty cool, while there are loads of levels the camp is basically an indefinite level. You can get a lot of really cool stuff for it.
Yeah, I've tried quite a few different ones as well and deleted them. I definitely tend to stick with ones I like for a few years though. Isekai Memories is definitely my favourite one of the story-driven phone games, though, my miles. It's an RPG based on the anime "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime", I actually discovered it the month of its release (October 2021) and have been active ever since.

Oooh nice! The game I played for nearly 8 years was Puzzles & Dragons. But that game got very grindy and all the new content felt impossible to beat without niche cards.... I had over 2k days logged in too.

Ohh, well it's always a shame when something ends like that, but eight years is definitely a good run. If they tweaked the difficulty, or made some changes you might have wanted to see, would you go back to it?
Another question, sort of random, sort of not. Do you play D&D or some other tabletop? Every now and again I end up watching videos of others playing, but despite my efforts I haven't had a chance to yet.

No sadly I don't. I only play RPG video games. My friends and are both super into D&D though. Someday I'd like to try playing!
Hahaha, well, I understand that! There's just something about having those kinds of habits for a long time, taking a long break from them, and going back to them that seems to make it a lot more difficult.
