I wouldn't say it's J-Pop but I do love Band Maid, TRiDENT, LiSA, Sayuri, and a few other Japanese bands.

I really should've put Japanese music, instead of just J-pop 😂

Ooh yeah I'm a big fan of japanese music, mostly j-rap bands like fake type and denpa girl.

meee!!! i honestly really enjoy "vanilla" idols like sexy zone, wasuta, akb48, etc. im also a big fan of a few vkei groups but ill admit im still new to the scene ^^. i'm also the type of anime idol fan that actually listens to and really loves the music, aqours from love live was my artist at the end of last year LOL

I love Japanese music! (more specifically, Vocaloid) i have heard some jpop songs which aren't sung by robots such as: PONPONPON - Kyary Pamyu Pamyu Ninja Re Bang Bang - Kyary Pamyu Pamyu Suki Suki Daisuki - Jun Togawa and a whole bunch of anime theme tunes (Chainsaw Man, Attack On Titan, Sailor Moon etc)

i dont know MANY j-pop groups, but Perfume is an all time fav ^^

I used to really like SMAP (and still do), but it sadly has been more difficult to find their music nowadays. Other Japanese groups I enjoy are Perfume, Mr. Children, Small Circle of Friends, and I'll admit that I like a handful of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and AKB48 songs.

Oooh! Perfume is awesome. I like almost all of their songs, which is rare for me. They are one of the few bands I'd love to see live someday.

Do you have a favorite Perfume song? Mine is either "Spring of Life" or "Fushizen na Girl," and I really love the choreography for "Night Flight."

YESS the night flight choreo has been some of my favorite for a long time!!! i think some of my fav songs would be "Daijyobanai" anddd "575" (but the whole JPN album is so strong)!!

I liked a lot of the music that came out in the 2000s and early 2010s! My fave musicians are Do As Infinity, Rip Slyme, Gackt, L'arcenCiel, Hyde, Dragon Ash, UA, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Gackt :p I also reaaalllllyyyy love Pizzicato Five! My boyfriend has been getting me into newer artists these past 2ish years and I've been liking Aimer, Aina the End, MAN WITH A MISSION, milet, Kenshi Yonezu - especially the song he did for FF16 ;___;

I used to be so into visual kei back in the day. I wish I still had my iPod from Way Back When to see who I still actually dig. I mean, I used to be obsessed with Japanese music in general but visual kei and its sibling genres were what I latched onto.

I do still listen to quite a bit of L'arc as well as Asian Kung-fu Generation, Polysics, and a handful of punk/ska bands (Potshot, anyone?)... and hide. The entire Psyence album is so close to my heart. But I'd love to get back into some others and maybe discover some newer acts as well... I just don't know where to start anymore lol

oh right, how can I forget AKFG! I love them as well! There's also Thee Michelle Gun Elephant, and random anime music like Real Folk Blues by The Seatbelts. And Dir en Grey!

Do you use Spotify? They have some pretty good playlists, though I find that a lot of the Japanese artists don't have a lot of their stuff from that period of time uploaded. Not sure if it has to do with copyright stuff? I remember at one point Johnny's did a reallyyyyyyy good job of having all their stuff removed from Youtube. I usually will be able to find them on Soundcloud, like Malice Mizer!

I've abandoned Spotify long ago since I don't agree with their model of hoarding all the money while the artists get like 0.00003 cents per play or something (exaggeration I hope, I don't remember). but when I did use them, I could never find the Japanese stuff I wanted. their copyrights have always been weird. recently we've gotten real big into minidiscs in my household, and we have a ton of vinyl and CDs as well (though not as much Japanese stuff as we'd like... we're working on it).
