I'm going to pick at an old topic for a second:

Last year, there were three(?) items that never went out. For the sake of spoilers, I won't name them all but there was some discussion as to them becoming items this year and 17 days into Lumi and 14 remaining, there's nothing about them. I know there's items being added every couple days to create a backlog as the one admin was concerned about real life matters (and I'm not trying to cast shade on that, far from it.)

I confess myself somewhat disappointed by that. Are we going to go another Lumi without word on their status or addition?

The art, item images, etc exist or did until the unreleased items were first bumped up in rarity and then finally pulled off site. (I know, I kept watch.) I wouldn't have thought readding them would be anymore than someone needing to take the time to add them back in during one of the mass item adds.

I'd like to know just what the plan is with them? And recommend perhaps a CS release that's not months from now if Lumi isn't possible?

They were meant to be for Mysterious Melody last year, then there were plans to release them as Ice Fields prizes, but neither of those happened. I think too much stuff got in the way and they eventually made the items staff rarity. I was hoping they could be released again this year, but it looks like MM still won't be available in time unless they extend it into January. Maybe they will become Ice Fields prizes after all if they've done any more work on that. Or just be sued for something else. I doubt they're being repurposed as Melody items since they probably would have gone out that way already if that was the plan. I'd just like to know if we will get them at all this winter or if we'll have to wait yet another year.

Even if they were re-integrated as this year's Lumi prizes later this month I'd be okay with it. It would certainly save some artists a bit of time!

I see 4 in my WL (but I'm not sure if we're talking about the same items -- How many have been delayed and removed from the site for this?)

Possible that they might just be out Melody tree gifts for this year.

It's a lot more than three items: (spoilers of course) unreleased 2021 Lumi items. I waited patiently all year for these items that have been taunting me... you can still see them in collections, like the page that shows what foods your gourmand still needs to eat, they are just broken items without images now which is possibly even more annoying, plus they still count toward the total items in that collection, as you can see here. (<-fyi that link also currently has spoilers for upcoming Melody gifts that have been added to the site early)

Now I've brought this up in the Lumi news post and the Lumi suggestions thread and still haven't heard a peep about them. I suppose staff are still holding out hope they will get MM working and are saving them for that, as was the original plan, but yeah at this point I have my doubts that MM is going to happen this year. I don't enjoy MM and I'd rather they not be associated with an activity I don't want to participate in, but that would be fair because that was the original plan. What would really annoy me is if they were put in the CS after all this. No, these need to be free, even if we have to work for them by participating in an event or an activity like the Ice Fields (the secondary plan for these items that never materialized). But it would have been even nicer to just give them to us as Melody gifts at this point.

I appreciate that! Personally, I'm just always hesitant to pester you (or any individual staff) directly, especially for something that isn't like an urgent game-breaking bug.

I personally don't mind the pings, especially when they are people asking questions without demanding things. I obviously can't speak for the rest of the staff on that, but if something is brought to my attention I can pass it along to the appropriate parties. I work three jobs (including Subeta, gotta make that rent money), so pinging me will really increase your odds of an answer.

Any way we can get few more of these released, ?

I'm always skittish about making feedback threads because it seems, of late, that because I said it, I'm generally considered wrong. I'm more skittish about contacting admins on a personal note.

I know I'm not staff and I don't know whatever else you might be referring to, but I don't think you were wrong at all to make a thread about this and I'm glad you did! (Because I'm too chicken to make a thread at all so I just kept uselessly bringing it up on threads that apparently weren't being seen by staff and being too afraid for no particular reason to ping them to it) I'm glad this got seen and addressed by Amber (even if the items don't go out this year at least we know they weren't forgotten and she knows we didn't forget about them either lol) so thanks for making this post. :)

I do hope they're able to release them this year! If they weren't still living in the collections like zombies, I would have forgotten about them, but we see them lurking in there all the time.

All I want is for those items to be released this winter and for us to not have to wait another year for them. Don't care how. Well, I would care if they were extremely hard to get like challenger loot for a really difficult and limited edition challenger (I'm still salty about the sloth beanbag incident), but that seems unlikely.

I don't know what these items are (totally missed this last year) but if they're involved in the plushie / beanbag / etc... collections then it would be good to see these released asap out of fairness for those trying to complete their collections.
