I know, they have been around for years. But this is one of the first years I am actually giftbombing a lot of people. I'm loving it. The wishlist search is also very helpfull in that respect. I buy 'tique or other items and then gift them random people who have that item on their WL.

I think it's especially lovely how anyone with an empty tree is found and posted, so the community can rally round to fill it. Proper festive spirit.

I love the trees, too. Not so much the decorating because that is really difficult on my phone and tablet, the primary ways I play, but browsing wishlists and leaving stuff and also opening them is definitely a lot of fun.

I'm new to Subeta this year, and I'm loving the tree system. I've gifted random usernames I've seen, gifted in many of the gifting threads, gifted my friends from their wish lists. It's so fun!

I always love the tree system. I love filling mine with cats and I love filling my friend's trees with wishlist items. I'm pretty quiet most of the time so I love being able to shower gifts on my friends with it to show how much I appreciate them

Trees are so helpful and such fun! The only feedback I have is it would be nice if we could decorate the trees during the year but only display them during Lumi. I tend to be busy during the winter season so I don't always get to put the time and effort into the tree that I'd like. If it was an addition to the Wardrobe section of the site where you could play with the ornaments and save your tree so it's shown when Lumi starts. I'd love to be able to decorate a tree when things are a bit quieter and display the one I'm happiest with during Lumi.

I agree, but I have one more thing I’d like changed about the tree decorating.

I want to be able to scale/resize the ornaments. Maybe also either flip them horizontally, or rotate them. I desperately want that.

Like, some ornaments are just… huge! And that’s cool in some situations! But I also want to be able to fit the desired 50 ornaments on my tree more neatly, without quite the same amount of visual clutter, y’know?

I don’t really feel the need for an “increase size” option, but being able to scale ornaments down, make them smaller, would be a blessing.

I love the trees! I just wish I could hire someone to make mine cute, heh.

I won't lie.

I kinda hate it.

It's like a popularity contest all over again and a reminder that I will always spectacularly fail at this aspect of Subeta. No, this is not a ploy for gifts. But the expectation of having a tree there is like that in real life, I could say hey, it's not for my religion but I just found out that I have very Scandinavian, very pagan ancestry, I can't use that excuse.

Then I added in a bunch of new ornaments on Subeta and naturally, it required clearing my cache to get them to turn up, which in turn kicked me off other sites that I use frequently even with the thing unticked to, y'know, not do that.

In short, bunch of aggravation. I'm not in the mood for this tonight.

This might be a little grinchy of me, but I love that its easy to opt out of. :D :D :D

I'm happy that people are enjoying the season but it's really a bit much for me. So I'm glad that both people who like this sort of thing and people who cant deal w gifting 50+ people (aka me) are considered in this site feature.

I love decorating my tree each year, but I hate gifting. My friends don't play this site and I don't like the gifting threads, so I'm happy I can opt out of that but still participate in the part I do enjoy :)

for those having trouble finding the opt out settings, they are here! took me a bit to find them, but I really appreciate that you can leave notes/make it so its friends only, or just opt out entirely.

I love the gifting system too! I'm happy that there's an opt-out feature too so I can gift anyone without wondering if it's unwanted.

I remember the feeling of being a broke baby subeta player and finding super dope gifts under my tree from more experienced players and now I love doing that for others!

Side note: I also love the CSC vouchers, it feels like free money for gifts to me because I always forget I have them!

I love the changes - I have some old fanciful cws that I just never use, and with the wishlist searching + the opt out tree options I can see any randoms that would like to be gifted, and give them a fun surprise! attacking the tree of strangers has never been easier or more delightful : D

i love it! being able to add stuff to trees throughout the month and see all the gifts on the 25th makes me so happy!

im not super social on this site, but im always surprised to see how many gifts i get! i also love the fact that the trees hint at how many gifts so you can find folks who need more and send them some gifts, the various empty tree threads every year are my fave, i havent gone as hard on it this year but im getting to some where i can

I do like the trees and the fact they added options for those who may want them; for the whole gifting purposes and such.

I also remember waay back when... we had Stockings before trees were a thing.... xD I feel OLD.

I like the opt out for those that want to use it. I am also happy it now has a way to see if someone is a little active kinda if their gifts have changed to a tree. Before I always worried the stuff I’d sent would be lost forever if they didn’t open it In time :/
