Do you have/use any drawers? Do you only buy items and add them to your wardrobe if you definitely will use/need them?

My wardrobe is an absolute mess, this is the main reason why I'm asking. I have too many items and so far no drawers. I'm unsure if I should just get rid of a lot of wearables that I don't use anyway or start organizing. Some advice is greatly appreciated!

Drawers. Lots of drawers. I make lots of cosplay/character HAs, so I hoard EVERY wearable I can get my little gremlin hands on; never know when some weird, off-the-wall item could be useful. That said, I DO have a drawer JUST for weird items I'm not likely to find much use for except in extreme fringe cases. Weirdly shaped shoes, backgrounds that make me uncomfortable, costumes and mods for which I can't immediately think of any good use; that sort of thing. Beyond that drawer, though, I mostly use my drawers to split out categories from layers that contain lots of things (e.g. eyes, lips, and brows/facial hair from the face layer; skirts, shorts, and pants from the bottoms layer), or to condense a certain type of clothing that falls into multiple categories into a single location (vests and dresses are frequent offenders that I'm forever needing to find). It's a system that works for me, but I still have to spend a LOT of time flipping through pages to find JUST the right items every time I make a new HA, so it's definitely not for everyone. ^^;

I removed everything except for all the things I wear! I also keep one drawer for seasonals or event items.

I don't use drawers because I'm lazy haha but it's a good idea. For items that I know I absolutely will never wear, I would get rid of them. It makes it a little easier to use the wardrobe.

I'm really bad at remembering to sort my stuff, but I have a few very specific drawers for items that became harder and harder to find easily as my wardrobe grew (like normal looking glasses, and noses, and socks). I also have a 'basic makeup' drawer for makeup items that I find myself using a lot. Mostly its gentle blushes and 'natural' lips and smiles and stuff like that.

As for what's in my wardrobe, I put in anything I like or can see myself using in unique ways (like, the mankini's can make interesting suspenders with the right outfit) and tossed everything I didn't like and know I'll never use. Problem is, there's just so many good items, before we even take CWs into account cos there's countless more of those to collect if you do that sort of thing.

I really with we could organize items into more than one drawer. I tend to keep my stuff stored by theme, but it would be nice to do by facial feature as well.

I have like 5 drawers for different facial features, a couple for different hairs, one for jewelry, one for skin details, one for "skins and heads," then some drawers that I don't even use that are alllll the clothing and shoes organized by color ^^'
