I feel like I see a lot of zombie food and it had me wondering whether the plethora of zombie food items reflects on the state of people in Subeta.

Though it may just be new collectibles for many zombie events and the artists getting into the Morostide spirit, hehe.

Subeta has a long history when it comes to its zombie (unliving) populations! It all began with The Great Pandemic back in 2009. Here’s a link with some great history. From that page, “The size of this city and the actual number of the Unliving population at this time are unknown.” I’d estimate at least 15,000 based off the size of the area, but that’s just me guessing based off real world populations, haha.

There are plenty of zombies walking among us users, too! I see your account is rather old so you may already be aware, but I’m not sure if you were around during any of the zombie skin changes so I’ll give a brief explanation. It used to be that when we got infected, our HA would permanently have that zombie skin until we took a cure. Then they changed the wardrobe system and added in removable skins, so now every time someone gets infected with a zombie strain it gets added to their skins instead. Anyone who still had an original zombie virus at that point is still tracked as a zombie. Here’s a link that shows how many people on the site still have uncured zombie viruses. That page may take a second to load, I think cuz the cache has to do some math in the background. I never miss a chance to point out that I am the one Eyesore zombie left standing 😅 so as far as actual user percentage, compare that to the total users that have active accounts here, but I’m not sure where to find that number.

I love the zombie lore around here. Some of the item descriptions also contain little snippets of information, so I feel like I’m always learning new things c:

I appreciate the specific info/ballpark estimation. I'm still a zed, too. I... Think? I never cured it, so I suppose I should still be, right?

In general, I really do love how Subeta has this International Urban Fantasy vibe, but I wish it had more hard lore. The logistics aren't quite solid enough for my personal tastes. Though it doesn't really hurt the Subeta experience, so its nbd.

I'm one of the originals too I maintained my boobitis right up until the change to removable skins. Also, when they first introduced the zapper skins, they were also permanent. I really wanted the Experiment 893 with the boobitis skin. Finally got it, and less than a week later they changed the skin system and I could no longer have both boobitis and Experiment 893. So I was both thrilled and sad at the same time!
