Neopets is a strange ghost town these days, uncomfortable in an uncanny way, "the familiar made strange" sort of vibe. Logging in makes me feel like I've snuck into a favorite childhood amusement park to find it almost deserted with the windows boarded over, and the only people there are toothless carnies and a few visitors desperate for the nostalgia of the place.

Subeta is much warmer and more lively (although the forums are a little scant for new content).
