so I just got out of a 7 year long distance relationship. it was very hard. I don't know how people can date long distance.
I want to find someone in my area I live in Missouri to be with. I am totally done with that.

I only made it two years LDR. Honestly, there are some people who can make it work. Most people can't, though. I'd definitely recommend finding someone nearby who can meet your needs.

Long distance is miserable, and 7 years is a long, long time. It's impressive that you made it that long! I'm sorry things didn't work out for you in the end, and I hope you can find someone nearby who makes you happy!
My current relationship was long distance for 3 years before I moved, and that was hard enough. I was already planning to move to this part of the country when we met, or I wouldn't have even tried.
I don't know if I'd say they're miserable, but an LDR is certainly bittersweet. My BF and I's financial situations are not very good for either of us, so I've only been able to visit him once so far and we don't know when the next time will be. It really does suck when you want physical affection from someone who's in another country.
For me, in-person interactions are extremely difficult (autism), so I don't think I can do anything but LDR.
