Hey. I'm, not a usual player (or, I wasn't) so, when exploring the subeta world I encountered a LOT of closed places. You know wich ones, the ones that only opens in certains celebrations or etc.
For example, here https://subeta.net/ss.php/brewery#/shop here https://subeta.net/shop.php?shopid=43 or here https://subeta.net/shop.php?shopid=48
Could those add a little text explaining why it's closed or hinting the next time it will be open, just like happens here https://subeta.net/explore/bonfire.php or here https://subeta.net/explore/bug_catching.php?
It would be useful and, less frustating to know when something is going to be available (unless of course it's a surprise, or a secret) when navegating the site as a nebwie or a not so usual player.
Excellent idea!
Since there is little distinction between broken and seasonal, I think it would certainly make it seem like less things are broken. Give a better general impression of the site.

I support this. It will be helpful for new players and returning users, and honestly doesn't seem like much effort for staff to add one line of text to a text box that is already coded and has other text in it lol
agreed, would be useful to have that information! gotta admit though, the brewery page just saying "Oh No!" is really funny.
Yes, support! For event-only shops, it might be a good idea to also include a little background on what the shop typically stocks, or what the event's for--for example, listing a few items and encouraging the user to come back to the shop around the time the event starts.
Like if it was Keelhauliday: "Ahoy! We're still sailin' the seas of Subeta and tradin' for goods. Come back in September when we drop our anchor and open shop!"
It'd also be nice to have a link to a page with all the Subeta holidays and what they're generally about on these "closed shop" pages, too.
From an accessibility standpoint, having different descriptions for different reasons is always a plus and helps alleviate confusion. Full support!
It could be a delightful addition too with the holidays like Keelhauliday being "Out plunderin' loot for next time we dock" and Masquerade could be, "Brb, cleaning up SO MUCH GLITTER." And have the messages change sporadically depending on how close to the event we are. Including some "WE JUST CLOSED. HOW DID YOU NOT--"

Support.
It's generally helpful to know if something is recurrent or whatever the case may be.
I remember when I first joined and tried to look at what "Melody's Cottage" is but it just said "It's not Luminarie!" and I had no idea what that meant. I just looked now and it still says it. It would be good to change it to explain what and when Luminaire is for context.
big support, especially on making so the site doesn't have the impression to new/returning users so that "oof, this site has a lot of broken links and shops they haven't even bothered taking down" changes to "oh, there's just seasonal shops and areas! good to know! I'm excited to see what happens when that time rolls around!"

Support. Giving some people context is great.
This is a great idea.
The shops themselves, like in the case of Freyalise or Masks, I can't add a specific message for shop closed since they aren't on the same system as the special shops (like brewery). I can go through and update any of the special shops, no problem!
If there are things you see like bug catching that aren't descriptive, please let me know. Happy to got through those!
I'm glad to see my little suggestion got 100% support :o
Answering to the last comment, I think it is a good idea to add to the texts two thing: 1) when would be the activity available and 2) a link to the supetapedia/token shop page, just like the Fireside one.
^-^
I think I might keep looking at Melody's Cottage until the message there changes to explain more about what Luminaire is.
I also like people's suggestions of adding a link to the Holiday Schedule, and it would work for the mask and pirate shops.
