TL;DR do you have any audible suggestions for someone who hasn't read a book in 15 years?
i used to read like crazy as a kid, but i have been unkind to my brain through the years and i think it has contributed to the fact that i no longer have the attention span to sit down and read a book, haha. it's really heartbreaking for me that no matter how hard i try, even if i know i will love the book, i cannot get my head to be quiet enough to comprehend what i'm reading.
MY ATTEMPT AT A SOLUTION: AUDIBLE
i've never tried audio books but i signed up for audible, an audiobook app! i listen to podcasts voraciously while working and comprehend what i'm hearing very well, so maybe i can still experience books through the magic of audio books!
my question is can you give me recommendations? i am open to anything really! if you got something out of a book, if it made you think or sticks with you weeks or months after reading/hearing it, please throw it out! i haven't read anything since House of Leaves like 15 years ago.
