hello everyone !

i've been immersing myself in subeta lore more. doing the quests and reading the npc entries and especially learning more about the pets is really endearing this world to me.

i would LOVE to make some cw's that feature pets and references to npcs!

however, there is an addon to rule 6 in the cw's that states: "NOTE: It is okay to use pets, minions, and NPCs in your custom wearable; for example, as part of a background or as a parody. However, they cannot be the full focus of your wearable."

this is super vague in a lot of ways. does this mean that in order to have an irion in my item, it has to be a part of a detailed background? can i reference maleria in clothing itself (ex: "maleria's number 1 fan" t-shirt or something) ? if not, i would like to propose that we change this rule !

i understand that subeta probably wants to curb items like this because they'd like to create npc-specific things in official releases.

my counterargument is this: please ? i really want to make an irion companion item :( and maleria items (my beloved). imo the more subeta-specific lore love there is from members, the better !

It's limited because lifelike dolls were supposed to be our companion dolls. However, staff completely dropped the ball on releasing them, and some species will never see them released at this point.

sounds like the perfect time to let us go wild with them, then ! :3c

I do think you're probably fine making fan t-shirts. I technically have already done that with these;

I think this rule is specifically stating that you cannot just draw Skitters next to your HA for example.

And I'm torn on whether or not I think this should change honestly.

On one hand, it means we might see a lot more Subeta themed items, which is really cool and I think it would be really amazing to see people's interpretations of the pets and NPCs.

But on the other hand, the majority of the CW community limits their items, which means that very few people would get to enjoy items like this. I'm not sure I like the idea of someone making a wearable Subeta pet that only 10 people can have a copy of.

Maybe a compromise would be making your own pet species and having it come in Subeta colors? OR making your own colors for an existing Subeta species? (I'm not 100% sure if this one would be acceptable, but it's possible I think?)
