Question Answered!

There are a few things that I swear I’m really close to getting, in terms of which items to use, but there are GeneTech items that have no hints in the description (or name) that I really want to get, but I can’t figure them out.

Are users allowed to give hints or tell other users the combinations? I think straight-up telling would take away the fun, but hints still allow for guesswork and solving the “puzzle” of which items you’ll need to combine.

So! Are users allowed to give other people hints?

For rule questions, you should generally file a ticket for a direct answer

However, there used to be an active thread for users to work together to figure out new Genetech combinations (kind of defunct since we haven't gotten any new combinations in a while), and Subetalodge (and the aforementioned thread onsite) lists the solutions flat-out, so I can't see giving hints being an issue c:

yes its allowed.

There are places that list the actual ingredients. But if you want to figure it out for yourself, I recommend starting a thread in games or General. Be very, very specific in your title (ie include the words "No spoilers"). Might even work better as a forum group which you can control more.

People want to be helpful, so may accidentally give away more info than you want - people will read titles, but may just skim the OP.
