What did you end up having for Easter Dinner?

We were feeling pretty worn out, so we just did pre-cooked stuff and warmed it up (ham, potato, green beans) and fresh rolls my mom made. The pie I got from the bakery was super good, though.

Thinking I might try some different recipies to make cooking exciting again.

Got any interesting makes?

I celebrated Easter with my fiancé’s family. They’re Italian-American. His mom usually hosts an Easter egg hunt for the kids and a big party.

Apps

  • Easter pie, two kinds
  • Deviled eggs, from the dyed Easter eggs
  • Stuffed mushroom caps Easter meal 1st course:
  • Cheese ravioli, from an Italian specialty shop
  • Family recipe sauce (includes meatballs, sausage, and braciole)
  • Semolina and sesame bread 2nd course:
  • Ham
  • Baked potatoes
  • Asparagus
  • Flaky layer biscuits from a can Dessert
  • Cheesecake
  • Lemon tart
  • Ice cream
  • Chocolate
  • Fruit

I made a Meyer Lemon Tart by Claire Saffitz with my fiancé. I really like her baking and cooking recipes. The tart was delicious! 🍋

I went to see The Batman and then went to Barnes and Nobles on Easter so nothing unless you count theater food. My parents and my immediate family aren't Easter celebrators though.
