I noticed Blessed Trident of the Banished One now has ranking for tier 9,10 and my main battle pet currently has enough stats to put it past tier 8 yet it doesn't seem to go above that when I had it equipped? Is there something special I need to do to get it to scale up?

Currently I have it paired with Paint Brush Blades.

I have both the Hydragellos Maniacal Core and Gelatin Concoction to make Maniacal Essence.

I was wondering if it's not worth it to just upgrade to the essence instead of worrying with the trident ?

Did you transform your Trident of the Banished One into a Blessed Trident of the Banished One in your inventory? They are two separate items and you can transform yours between the two any time you’d like. They will detect your pet’s tier and scale automatically in battle.

Maniacal Essence and Blessed Trident are both great weapons in their own way and which one is best to use depends on the opponent. Personally, I keep both in my armory.

I personally love the Blessed Trident of the Banished One and use it for my pets Tier 8 through Tier 13 and even my capped pets. So many challengers attack with wind and this is a good blocker for that. I love the blessing that when active blocks an additional 3 icon types, stealing and freezing. About the only time I would choose Swashbuckle instead (which I also own and is the other high level wind blocker) is if blessings were turned off for a challenger or the challenger blocked the majority of the icons the Trident attacks with.

Yes, I have. But the Weapon guide has stats for it beyond tier 8 and I was just wondering why mine is still just tier 8 when my pet is tier 11? If it doesn't actually scale beyond that it's fine.

It does scale, but why it isn’t scaling for you I have no idea.

If you’re absolutely certain that its stats aren’t increasing and don’t match what SubetaLodge says they should be when used with your T11 pet, then I would file a ticket.

Thank you, I will submit a ticket. I even removed the item from my armory and placed it back in (and had to put new modifier crystals in it) to try to trigger it to go up in tier.

The listed tier in the Armory doesn't change from T8. It just changes the stats within battles

Ah that would explain things, I'll check next time I use it in battle.
