So, every time I've gotten a critical hit, it has told me, but suddenly I'm doing double damage, but not getting a critical hit saying. The items I'm using together should do about 700 at most, from what I've seen, but I could be wrong.

Is this a glitch that it's not telling me, or are my items just suddenly doing that much more damage?

If you have crit crystals modded in your weapons it is a separate critical chance and proc from speed crits. They do not give a crit message (and can also proc in addition to a speed crit resulting in 4x damage)
