How come some username search works while other doesn't? Like say I search john, I get just about any john, johnny, etc out there, but if I search mark, which I know and it's my friend, I get "nothing found", why?

because the "Subeta Search" feature doesn't work right. This, by the way, is the "fixed" version. The previous version worked even less well. If you want to find user "mark" - your best bet is to use either a forum post, or the Notepad feature on your dashboard and type in square bracket user=username close square bracket.

you can always just append any username to the user profile url (subeta.net/users/NAME) to go to that person's profile.

Not an answer but a general note that I get the feeling the Subeta Search falls really behind these days, as most new pets don't show up on the Pet Search. I don't know what the deal is, but I hope this isn't the finalized version of the system.
