the eclectic type that consist of people from all walks of life... the kind of group that is diverse and excitable and all move together as a single unit, almost? the type to go out on late-night drives at 1am and jam out to their favorite music (taking turns with the aux cable, obviously) while they eventually stumble upon some old, abandoned road and decide to pour out of the car to explore it? the type who go to a coffee shop and are able to just light up the entire establishment with their combined presence? the type who know that this life is limited and so the only way to spend it is to live life in the moment and only the moment?
i've always yearned for that kind of friend group to call my own, and i'm certain i'm not alone. if you've experienced the joy that comes with this sort of dynamic, feel free to tell us some stories. <3

It's a little different for me, but more or less yes. Different people who "move together", and the part about the abandoned road, yes, but in my case add in a dash of being able to really be yourself, to share not only the highs but the lows and support one another. It's my dream to travel the world with a group of friends like that.

growing up, i can relate with the long night drives and exploring abandoned areas. being isolated in the countryside made for long drives of escape from "the-middle-of-nowhere," to wander anywhere new or interesting. we'd all pile in whatever friend's car had enough gas and head for a destination. (sometimes that destination was a drive-in movie or laser tag hours away.) there are a lot of chaotic carefree memories, it feels sweet to remember them.
you mentioning the coffee shop lighting up with a group's presence reminds and excites me--this weekend i'm visiting a group of friends in the city! a friend hosts parties for such a blended group of humans. there's always someone new to meet in the crowd of positive, colorful people. but the morning after, normally exhausted from a night of laughter and dancing, the stragglers and over-nighters all walk to a coffee shop. there we catch up in more intimate conversations over our different coffee and breakfast orders. ah, i'm so excited!
