The Lord of the Rings Amazon series teaser trailer dropped on Superb Owl Sunday. I myself am rather hyped for when this releases in September! I am surprised that it's getting so much hate for casting non-white actors as Elves and Dwarves. And having Galadriel do warrior things (Tolkien himself said she had an "Amazon disposition" in a letter in 1973). Or maybe I shouldn't be that surprised. Every fandom has toxic fans, and in this age of Twitter, they have a wider platform to be jerks publicly than ever.

I was unaware of any "hate" for casting non white actors, but you gotta admit, it does seem kind of silly to use other than white to play dwarves and elves. How "woke" can you be? Anyway, I am quite looking forward to Rings of Power in a couple of months.
