Is there a way to 'unfriend' people that you've friended? I've got a few inactive accounts on my friend list that I'd like to drop if possible, but I don't see an easy way to do that. I don't want to fully block them, just remove them as a friend.

Yup! Go to your friends list (under the Personal tab), then click "remove" for the users you no longer want on your friends list.
