Hey there! I've been spending way too much time here over the last two weeks, but otherwise I'm still really new to the site. I wish I'd known about this place 20 years ago!

I'm a lurker to the core, but to say something about myself: I was at the upper end of the target age range when virtual pet sites first took off in the late 90s. I love reading and learning, but I especially enjoy collecting 'useless' trivial knowledge. Posting online probably causes me more anxiety than interacting IRL does.

I've been doing my best to fully explore Subeta on my own, but I definitely still have a lot to learn...so I'd really appreciate it if anyone with a minute to spare would consider answering at least one of these silly questions: What's your favorite thing about Subeta? How long have you been here and why? What do you think is the funniest item/thing on Subeta? What took you forever to notice/figure out?

Thank you for the helpful links and for taking the extra time to give me a little of your perspective on the site! Totally agree that this is a great place to be a collector. Figuring out how achievements work (and seeing how many there are to unlock!) has been an unexpected joy.

I love collecting and building my wardrobe. Making HAs is so much fun! I've also recently gotten into buying custom wearables and now I have no more CSC 😅 I've been on the site since 14 years ago, although I took a pretty big break a few years ago while I was going through college! Oh! I love the holidays too! Morostide in October is my favorite!

Hey, fellow lurker! I was supposed to be figuring out a way to get 100 forums posts to gain entry to The Blue Building without curling into the fetal position tonight, but this seems way more fun!

I joined in ’06 but that account is long gone, and I was in it for the pets. While I loved the merch that Neopets was putting out at the time (RIP Limited Too), Subeta pets were just cooler looking. That and making money on Subeta was, and still is, wayyyy easier. I remade a “new” account in 2012, promptly abandoned it within a month because I was in college and busy, then returned when I started working from home in 2021, a la pandemic. I had completely forgotten about Subeta until one day an article about Neopets popped up on my news feed and I had a nostalgic flashback to “the good old days” of the internet. I did a quick check that Neopets was still a dumpster fire (no surprise, it was) and hopped back on Subeta. I’ve been puttering around the site ever since.

There are quite a few items that have gotten a chuckle from me. There’s nothing better than poking around only to find something like the Pink Betamon Biscuit, Trickster Rag Doll, or Typical Purple Scene Hair. Oh and the whole GamePet Games are pretty rad.

What took you forever to notice/figure out? Battling. It’s like… a whole thing. I avoided it forever because it seemed lame and hard but now that I’m starting to dip my toe in? It’s pretty fun!

Truly cruel and unusual. 😂 First of all, "RIP Limited Too" and using the phrase "puttering around" speak to my soul on a molecular level, so thank you for that! Those items are great! (Not that scene hair! Oh noooo) And thanks so much for offering some insight into the mysteries of battling/Alchemy points.

Thank you! Yeah it seems like college puts a stop of ALL hobbies most of the time hahaha Survival should be coming up soon, that'll be an exciting event to start off with for you! What's your favorite thing about Subeta? My pets! I love working on my pets and sharing their characters with other people. My favourite thing to work on are treasure chests, Vashj and Cariad having my biggest treasure chests by far! They're expensive but I just love seeing the page full of items.

How long have you been here and why? I've been here 14 years and 5 months, I don't play as much as I used to but the people and my pets always bring me back. I love how amazing the art is and the site just feel so comfortable to be on.

What do you think is the funniest item/thing on Subeta? This really makes me laugh every time I see it.

What took you forever to notice/figure out? It took me far too long to figure out that the best way to earn sP was through questing. It feels like so long ago now but it took me 5 years to figure out how to actually earn sP!

Thank you! My time here so far has been almost exclusively questing as much as possible and playing around in the Wardrobe section, so I think we agree on favorite things.

My favorite part about Subeta is the HAs! I was an active user in 2011-2013 when I was in middle/high school and returned to it as others have said in the pandemic as an adult. It’s a fun site!

For some reason, HA-focused sites really stressed me out back in the day. But now I definitely see how much fun they can be. Better late than never!

Hi there, I'm Kimmy! So nice to see a fellow newbie. I joined just this month, and I REALLY love it here. Until recently, I'd really only truly gotten invested in Neo, but I've been branching out and trying different pet sites and Subeta is by far my favorite.

I don't think I've been around long enough to know what I think the funniest item is, or what took me a while to notice, but my favorite thing is definitely the pets and pet designs! I know that's kind of a typical answer, but I'm really impressed by them - so many good species and colors that feel super unique. I also think the world of Subeta is interesting, I wanna know more about the lore and characters. I hope you're enjoying your time here as much as I have been!
