So in Romania we have this traditional dish called “salată de boeuf,” which is pretty much finely chopped vegetables (mostly pickled ones) served with a heap of mayonnaise. It’s surprisingly tasty and we have it pretty much every time there’s a major holiday. My mum made a bowlful today and that’s what we had for lunch
Yesterday she was talking with her brother in the phone, and he was in the middle of preparing Christmas dinner for his two adult kids. He made a holiday ham and 10 KILOS of salată de boeuf, so presumably my cousins would be having plenty of yummy leftovers 😋
your time is now!!

That sounds similar to coleslaw! Delicious, I want some now
Oooh I’m a big coleslaw fan, but from what I’ve tried the consistency really isn’t all that similar. But mayo salad is yum, you should try it : )
Salatâ di boeuf is primary made with very small cubes of carrots, potatoes, pickled cucumbers, little peas, etc. My mum sometimes tosses little bits of egg and chicken in it, but I don’t think I’ve ever tried it with beef despite the name.
