I've got the rona guys, just got the positive result back. I feel pretty okay but still not looking forward to this. At least now I have an excuse to be a recluse.

I had a high-ish fever last night but it passed in a few hours and this morning I'm not feeling great but not awful either, mostly just a headache and a bit of dry mouth even though I'm drinking tons of water. def feelin very lucky that it looks like I'll get through this without too much misery.

the timing with the holidays isn't even too awful bc I had already decided not to travel to any family and all the older folks I'm around regularly at work have been on vacay for a couple weeks so no chance I could have exposed them.

I'm on day 3 and mostly just got sniffles, a small cough, and dry mouth still. the lil furball in my siggy is basically living on my lap, not sure if she knows something is up and she's worried or if it's just the temp in the house lol. altogether this experience could be better, could be worse.

Cats are psychic. Years ago I was staying over at a family friend’s house when everyone got infected with stomach flu, and I swear the only reason I made it through that all was because the no-necked family cat named Tomas spent so much time with me.

He was following me throughout the house, staying on my bed when I was resting, all in all it was super comforting

they really are! somehow they always tune in to when you need them the most. and "no-necked cat" I'm trying to imagine that and he sounds adorable, love it!

day 4 and I think the only lingering symptom I've still got is slight fatigue, like if I'm up for too long my energy is just gone and I gotta sit. a friend of mine is also down with covid so we're gonna keep each other company for a little while today.
