god i gotta find a therapist but i am le scared
like literally the past few days i have been super paranoid tht my dad is gna come up here (he lives 6 hours away) 2 like force me 2 go back home. theres no reason why he would do that. hes not like mad at me, and its not like hes ever done tht before. yet here i am shitting bricks every time a car pulls in. and a little bit ago he just texted me "i love you" and now im freaking out like oh god is he mad at me? is he just trying 2 get me 2 reply so he can rope me into a ""discussion"" abt how i fucked smth up irreparably? like... damn my logical brain knows its prob just bc i havent talked 2 him in a while, but i am unfortunately a prisoner 2 my paranoia brain
anyways if u read this, thanks, i just needed 2 get this off my chest. ive always had anxiety surrounding my dad but its been rly rly bad lately
hate that for you, dude :( i'm sorry you're going through this! i get dad anxiety too so i can relate, not that that helps D:
i highly recommend therapy if you ever feel comfy enough and able to. it truly does wonders when you get a good therapist that you really click with and can trust.

I also recently started buspar for my anxiety and it’s been doing rly well for me. It’s very subtle…just takes it down a notch or two, very subtle but in a good way

Hey friend I'm sorry you're going through this. I'm glad you shared it here, I think it's helpful to just put it out there in a safe space so it gets out of your head for a little bit.
Therapy can be really helpful if you have access. It's just nice to have someone on your side who can listen and help you sort through your thoughts. I've also had a lot of benefit from medication, if you'd be open to seeing a doctor. Have you done any CBT? I learned a lot of tools in the partial hospitalization program I did a few times. It takes some practice but it can really help you get your brain under control. I hope you find something that works for you!
