[topic=Tuna and Sweetcorn Sandwich]
I like Miracle Whip, Honey Ham, Colby Jack Cheese, Honey Mustard, and Onion! I really dislike the taste of Mayo, even though everyone else I know prefers it. Sometimes I'd do turkey, but it seems bland. Salami is also a decent option, but it can make it chewy. If I have lettuce, I'll toss that on too.
I certainly would never put tomato on my sandwich - yuck.
Mine put mayonnaise on the bottom bread, usually cold cuts, some kind czeese, pickles, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and mustard on the top bread. Sometimes I make sammiches with just about any kind of filling, pasta and sauce, tuna, etc...
Something I never want on my sammich, is wet pickles. I always put them in my mouth and suck the juice before putting on the sammich. That is only for my own eating, mind you.
Other times I make lead spread or cream czeese n jelly.
Ham, lettuce, tomato (with plenty of salt and pepper on the tomato)! Mayo is also good.
Hot sandwich (usually my preference) - Grilled cheese made with Chao cheese and sautéed mushrooms and onions on dark rye. A cup of tomato soup to maybe dip it in if I feel like it and a few dill pickle spears on the side.
If it's gonna be a cold sandwich, then rule number one is absolutely no mayo or Miracle Whip or any similar substitute (they're all equally revolting). Peppered Tofurky slices, Chao cheese, thin-sliced tomatoes, avocado and a leaf or two of crisp iceberg lettuce (none of that ornamental garnish stuff). Chewy multigrain/seedy/sprouted bread.
If we're talking Subway, I get the veggie patty, all the vegetables (extra lettuce...more...keep going) and that sweet onion sauce they've got. I rarely go there though because it's stupid expensive. It's been so long actually that I don't remember the bread options. I think there was a garlic one I liked.
So, basically, I should never have you make me a sandwich..
I usually don't make anything all that fancy either. I've been getting my groceries delivered by one of those ugly produce companies ever since the pandemic started and they never have rye bread or Chao (sometimes they have other vegan cheeses but Chao is superior) and lately they've been out of mushrooms by the time I'm allowed to order for the week. I might have to venture into an actual store...I want this exact sandwich right now! lol
You know what, maybe I have simple tastes. Tomatoes are just bomb. Though I have a bottle of peppadew peppers and theyre definitely fun to toss onto a sandwich, so I'll sometimes add them in for some kick
Better question? Are burgers sandwiches? And if so they must be the superior sandwich.

I second the burger statement. I never get too funky with my own sandwiches, anyways.
