I'm losing my mind here as I've been trying to draw a good enough CI for the last 2 weeks and every time I do it keeps coming out blurry and has wonky lines... I must be doing something wrong big time....
I need major help at least in the technical sense... I could just be using the wrong brush type or maybe I just suck. Could be both. Anyway... how do I get my lines not to become so rough and ugly when I have to resize my image?
What is the best brush type to use? What thickness should I make my lines for the line art? What Size should my canvas be before the resize? What's the best DPI?
Also has anyone else used Ibispaint X to make CWs?
Seriously I just want to get this right..... but again I feel like I'm badly doing something wrong when it comes to my lines and such. Any and all help is appreciated!

I've never used the program you're using, but my four most common tips for this is;
Always make sure your canvas is a perfect square. Even one pixel off can mess you up.
Make sure your canvas size is evenly divisible by 64x64. If it's not, it can create issues, but I may be able to help you fix this if this is the problem, depending on the size you used.
Work smaller not larger. I use a 128x128 canvas and wouldn't recommend anything over a 256x256.
You may need to merge your layers before resizing. Some programs can tear apart the layers on resize if it's not a flat image.
(You are more than welcome to post your working size image here or smail me and I may be able to give more advice about brushes that way.)
Thank you so very kuch for the advice, that helps immensely!

Absolutely! Let me know if you need any other feedback or anything more specific. :) I'm usually on in the mornings (subeta time)
Ok I just need some minor help ... I tried viewing the help topics but the links no longer work.
What is the best brush for lineart? This has been my bane from the beginning.

It really varies between programs, there is no "best brush" that works for everything. I use photoshop's default round brush, is there an equivalent of that in Ibispaint? Something that is hard with a little bit of aliasing (softness) on the edges works best, since ideally you don't want the lines to be too soft or too crispy/hard. It can be diffcult to find that perfect balance.
Thank you! Ibispaint has a Dip Pen, both soft and hard versions!
