hi all! i haven't been on subeta in forever, but uh in light of neopets' whole..situation now......im trying to fill the petsite-shaped hole in my heart, lol. so im back!

so HI my name is krystal / krys, i like genshin impact (AR45 - lets co-op, as long as u dont mind the fact that im not that great at fighting..xD), pokemon, animal crossing, a lot more video games lol, horror, cooking, and pineapple on pizza (fight me). also a lot more stuff idk. feel free to hmu if you wanna chat!!!

i barely remember how to play this game in terms of like...what there is to do..... (honestly when i was last "active" literally all i did was dress up my avatar and leave snarky comments on my friend's profile), so tips are much appreciated !! ive been on-and-off the site for about 12 years, but for all intents and purposes you can treat me like a newbie again, because thats what i feel like rn haha. (also like....what are these beanbags and stickers all over the site? just collectibles from the holiday or is there something I can do with them??)

yeah i remembered loyalty boxes were a thing! i used one on a pet overlay (pending approval), one on 3 month gA (was actually in my inventory already when I returned lol, must have got it and never used it before my hiatus), and have four more that I'm still deciding what to do with.

honestly, what I loved most about neo was just the comfort and familiarity / nostalgia haha. i mostly worked on collecting avatars, entering the beauty contest, and kinda casually battledome training. And working on my pet's pages / characters / stories / art / etc when I had the energy for it. i started training one of my pets here (i've been on this site more than a decade and never battled here!) but other than that ive just been doing my quests and then just feeling lost on what to do next to keep myself interested / active / busy!

Welcome back! Pineapple on pizza is my jam, though I take it a few weird steps further and put honey and a little cinnamon sugar on mine. Ngl honey and pizza is MMM yes.

Since you like working on pets, if you haven't already discovered, each pet can hold pet treasures which can be any item on the site, which can help bring out their personality/backstory :) And pets can also be friends with other pets! Super nice touches imho.

There aren't avis on here to earn but you can earn titles, and the beanbags/plushies/stickers are collectables that you can put into albums that display on your page. What is really cool about the stickers is friends can stick them into your booklet for you and vice versa :)

They have pet spotlights here instead of beauty contests so you can definitely keep working on that goal.

Since you've been doing quests you may have some wizard tokens saved up. You can save those for the occasional token shop drops but also there is a vending machine in each land that you can pull from 250 times a day, it'll give out everything from clothes to plushies to books and more. I find it a great way to stock up as a newbie and you can sell the extras for a decent buck.

I'd tried Mike's Hot Honey on pizza before and it was okay, but ranch w/ pizza is more my jam!

Thank you for the great info! I've always loved subeta's pet treasure feature and wished neo had it lol, my angelic popoko Miah is my pride and joy and she's got some stuff in her treasure from years past, but I definitely want to fill it up more and more

Sticker collecting sounds like it could be a fun pasttime! I might just have to get into that~ Also I remembered wizard tokens being valuable but couldnt remember why / what they were used for so, thank you for the reminder! xD

Welcome back! I think just looking through all of the achievements and choosing a couple to start working on will lead you into finding your special things that you enjoy most here. It doesn’t have to be achievements that you’re into, they can just introduce you to things you might not have stumbled across.

SubetaLodge is a great website for looking up items, comparing pet colors, keeping track of collections, if you get into those, and just being an all-around great Subeta resource. So, definitely check them out, if you haven’t already.
