👋🏼 Hey everyone, we've got an exciting update in the wardrobe for you! In addition to shipping recent improvements to the outfits page, we're now introducing the ability to self organize them: Tags!
Adding tags to your outfit is easy, just open your saved avatars and find the one you want to tag. Click into it, and you'll be able to add up to 5 tags to each outfit. Tags are shared across your outfits, so after you create them they should be easy to go through and add.
Private Search
Once you've tagged a few of your outfits, you can go back to the main outfits page and use the filter to search through them.
🔜 Updates to come In the spirit of trying to get things out faster, test them, and then iterate, we're pushing this out with our eyes on future improvements in addition to any bug fixes.
- If you switch the privacy to "All Public", you'll start to see outfits with tags on them. Selecting a tag will add it to your filter, but at the moment you cannot add them without this step. Soon you'll be able to input the tags directly, when we have a small database of tags to display and search. The reason for this is we haven't put very strong filters in place to stop bad words or slurs, and so want to watch how tags begin to populate before exposing the full database to all users
- The filter on tags currently uses an or search method (Morostide OR Comfy, if you have them both selected in the filter) instead of an AND method. This will soon be updated, either as a toggle or changed entirely to AND style searching
- We're aware of a bug that sometimes ends up putting you in the 'public' view, not being able to return to the private view. If this happens to you, close your browser and come back to new.subeta.net

Seems like a style change has come with this as well. In night mode, the 'clear' button is now white text on a white button and the dropdown menu when clicking on the HA headshot is the same, white on white.
Other than that, this looks interesting and useful.

This is fun! I hope that we can tag wardrobe wearables at some point too? So we can find "black tops" or something...?
Holiday Things
Oh no! I did get rid of a lot of the stuff from the first version of new.subeta.net that was making our theme configuration really weird. I'll take a look at that dark mode stuff.
Separately, something very exciting about this is that our configuration looks like this:
So I'm pretty hopeful that soon™️ we'll be able to let people make their own themes / configurations and share them with others :D

Just in case it is helpful to anyone, I made a video for someone. The new feature is a wee bit glitchy (you will see it--deleting the tag on the 2nd outfit, but the tag wasn't there... clicked in and out & magically it was there), but it works.

In the previous thread (which now appears to be gone) posted by Galaxia, I documented a couple of bugs that seem to have gone live with this tagging thing.
- everytime you tag the same tag on a new outfit, you have to re-"create" the tag, this means it shows up multiple times in dropdown.
- once you filter by a tag, you can't filter by a new tag till you close and re-open the filtering
- if you do put in two tags, it returns all the outfits that have either one, rather than only the outfits that have both
