Long story not short The food/beverage contract at my precious venue ended during Covid and they didn’t renew. I wanted to stay on with my current company but that meant dealing with a ridiculously long commute (180 miles round trip, yes I’m a dumbass) but I got a nice raise and promotion.

The drive took a toll, especially during busy season and leaving at 2am, getting home at 4, then having to be there again at 11. Then one of the company VPs who I work with (she’s not my supervisor, another VP is) has been chewing my ass for me fucking up. Like, last week I’m working a huge golf tournament with our company (she knows this) and proceeds to call me and bitch me out for not giving enough notice about something, what was I thinking.

Today, I took off. I had been working two weeks straight with 1 day off between. I took two personal days. She sends an email about how I shouldn’t have taken off, there’s so much to do, stuff I didn’t do (no one asked me to handle this or I would have), and decided to copy my boss this time.

Sorry, not sacrificing myself for this company. I’ve sacrificed so much time, money on tolls and fuel, my sanity since June and you’re going to bitch me out because I took two days off? Please kiss my ass. I’m glad so many places are hiring shouldn’t be hard finding another job.

My boss emailed me right away of course lol. Surprised he’s even in town but he wanted to meet with me tomorrow to discuss everything before he officially let everyone know.

I’m sure he’s gonna try to convince me to say but girl I’m Not having any of that
