I only got the Heckin Hex border, but never got the Prickly Pumpkin Patch or Cavity Central one. I had the Hypno-Monocle on and the Bag of Minion Nip on for the entire time for trying to get those other two. What'd I do wrong? oTL;

[-Winks] prickly patch is completely random via visiting the pumpkin patch, so just bad luck there. cavity central is an award for ToT-ing 1500 times. good news is they should be available next year, too

[-Winks] Achievements like that are usually not meant to be obtained all in one year. A lot of people got the candy border this year because it retroactively counted all of the times people had ToT-ed over the years. But yeah, for a newer player it might take longer to get.

has said there are no plans to retire those achievements for the foreseeable future though, so you will have time to work on them again next year. :)

That makes sense. Only returned after years and recently started doing all this holiday event stuff.

Honestly though, sometimes one's luck just really is that bad. I put the Minion Nip on in hopes of getting some of the special minions this year. I got exactly ONE of them, the new one XD (And yes, I tried every day possible, multiple times, in the same area of the patch where it was supposed to be. I lost count of how many Decorative Witch Boots I've fragged!) Which is...kind of an improvement, I guess? Over none?

My point is, increased chance doesn't mean guarantee. It sucks and it's frustrating, absolutely, I agree. But the good news is, as Laurey already said, that the achievement won't be retiring, so you can try again next year.
